I guess you need to have excel. Which I don't have on my iPad. So the formula wasn't recognized. You might have the same problem.

I think this was a far better exam than the horror shows that were the 2011 Lt exam or the 2013 Captain exam, but there were quite a few poorly worded questions that can be challenged, so it was not "the exam to take" necessarily just a big improvement over recent garbage exams, but that is a low bar to surpass. I thought this test was challenging, but most of it was relevant and I picked out about 5 or 6 questions that I thought could be legitimately challenged. But maybe those were thrown in to throw you off and are "research" questions?
