Congrats to all who made it. Now the question is when will they start promoting off it? And will they be passing people over initially because of time? (i.e. will they get to me quicker)

Congrats to all, Mr Bookman did you pick up that point? But to answer your question the 1st class aka the Gunz is back class will mostly likely go in january 2015. A few people may get passed over initially due to lack of time that were promoted in 2013 plus a few educational holdovers. By the 2nd class in april/may2015 all should be eligible. It wont affect the back of the list.

Picked up two points. Very happy. I cant believe it is over. It does seem like the months you have Capts classes going in is way too infrequent (IMO). Especially with another test being given in Sept.

Congrats Lew. It looks like no captains have either retired or been promoted to DI since Jan 1. The average of new Capt promotions is about 50 at the most per year with the normal rate of retirements/promotions (which has severely slowed down since the new administration took effect). With 25 still left on the 2012 list and nobody in that rank leaving, I don't think our promotions will start until at least the beginning of 2015.
Hopefully the discretionary Capt promotions will resume soon to keep things moving along.

Did anyone notice how the printed list is dated "4/15/14"?
Evidently DCAS (or HQ) held on to it for 10 days before releasing it. Nice.
Apparently the list will be ready for pickup this afternoon by the boroughs.
I wish I was working today, but I telegrammed in sick.
Heard today is the day as well. Good luck to those on the brink!
I can't believe Jman made the list. He must have picked up every throwout.
LOL
Congrats to all!
