I'm hearing conflicting information about the Fitness Incentive. I heard from a Lt. at CRV that the fitness incentive still counts until Dec. 13th 2013 and those that schedule it before then will get the addition fitness incentive points. But I just heard from others that you must have passed the fitness tests before 10/19 Sgt test for it to count.
I did some research and discovered that the cut off date is 12/13 but I'm not sure if this will count toward the 2013 exam. I called the Fitness Incentive Unit many times and I've never received a response. I signed up for the run in the 75 Pct tomorrow through the automated phone number but I'm not sure it will count. Does anyone know for sure?

Had to have it done before the test For it to count for this test. 12/13 is prob the last one of the year I dunno I didn't see the finest. whatever you do after the test will count towards your next test as long as it's within 5 years.

The 2011 test, I did the run and JST AFTER the exam in December, and it was counted for the 2011 exam.
So if you heard 12/13 is the cutoff for this exam, you are most likely RIGHT and infinity is misinformed.

Infinity, you don't have to believe me, but ask around anyone who did it in 2011. The last 2011 JST session was PACKED full of people who took the 2011 exam and wanted the 1/2 point. The cops administering the JST always ask if you're on a list or if you took the exam that just went by. I made it a point to ask several people about it. And if you think they're all wrong, here's another thing: for the 2011 exam, I did get the extra 1/2 point, and I've NEVER done the fitness incentive stuff before in my life except that one time. So where'd that extra point come from? I'm pretty sure I didn't pull it out of my a55. How do I know I got the extra half a point? Because the 2011 results were mailed out twice: once before any additional points were applied, a second time after they corrected it and adjusted everyone's list number to reflect the extras.
And if what the Key says is right, then okay, that goes for this year. But in 2011, that wasn't the case.
Read about 1/2 way down where he says the deadline was Dec 2, after the exam. See? I'm not on crack!

Well the fitness unit isn't picking up the phone so I guess I'm going to have to show up to the run and find out personally.

You're right, it was the last session of the year, but it also counted towards the 2011 exam still. I don't know about this year though I guess. Maybe 2011 was the exception.
Hey crap, check your messages, I gave you two numbers to try calling in addition. I was able to do it back in 2011 and this year by calling the 718 number I just sent you. You do have to keep trying the entire day but eventually you do get someone. They also actually DO check their answering machine if you leave a message and WILL call you back in a day or two.
