I know that the old list isn't dead yet (two more classes???), but anyone have any idea, guess or inside info when the next Capt's exam should be coming out? With a list of 86 names, how long can that list possibly last?

I've heard October/November of this year and another rumor of January 2014. Either way it'll be relatively soon.

So is the rumor still on for the next test in the beginning of next year? Or does anyone hear or know different?

If that's the case they should be announcing the exam within the next 3 to 4 months. That's highly unlikely in my opinion but you never know.

I know that apps 50 Captains and above are on terminal leave as of today. That leave ranges anywhere from 1 month to well into 2014.

Thomas Edison State College out of Trenton, NJ has a decent online program, and they issue a lot of credits based on your prior college level courses such as Auto Crime, BMOC, etc. A know a few guys who have gone through them.

If you are just looking for a degree to get promoted, try Aspen. I used them for a Bachelors degree; at the time it cost 4200 and took approximately 9 months. And it got me promoted.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I will try Thomas Edison considering I used them to transcript those BS Fema credits which got me promoted to LT lol

Hey on point info if you don't mind me asking, how far off from a bachelors degree were you before you finished it up in 9 months? Also, how lenient are they in regards to transfering over credits?

I had 96 credits when I applied to Aspen. I believe they took close to 80 of them towards a degree.

EST just sent out a newsletter saying the following, "It appears a new Captains exam may be given before the end of the year. I will keep you informed". Must admit I'm a bit surprised.

I also got that email and was told by a couple of people who work at the Puzzle Palace that the exam will be in Nov. 2013.
