I was informed today by my squad Sgt that my CO, who hates me, has told him to do an interim evaluation on me. My sgt has no idea why and said that I may be getting put on monitoring. I'm # 2**. Will this affect my promotion at all? Any one have any experience with this?

Avoid that at all costs. Start making activity related deals with your boss and the CO to avoid that. Is it illegal? Absolutely. Will it avoid getting put on monitoring and effecting your promotion. Probably. Edit your list # post, you don't want to identify yourself.

On my last yearly I got a 3.0. If he was really looking to screw me, wouldn't he have done it then? I have done exactly as he's asked of me. I don't know what more can be done

bro is your activity on pace with everyone else?? if you stopped writting bc u were getting promoted then shame on you. But if everything is up to par, and you dont have an over abundance of cds or charges pending, IN MY OPINION, you have to talk to your union about filling a grievance. OK OK im not about doing these types of things, but its my belief that if a boss wants to screw with my life just bc he dont like me and not based on what and how i do my job, then there are things that need to be done. BUT if youre not doing what is expected of you and you know your co hates you, then shame on you

That's my whole problem, I am up to par with everyone else. Like everyone, I may come in short a summons every so often but I'm close or on par every month. I won't give zeros. He has just hated me from day 1 in the command.

well you know what your situation is. If youre on point and this a personality clash, then i would think that there are courses of action you can and should look into taking. I only know your side of the story, so its hard to completely know everything.

Ask for a meeting with the CO, do anything and everything. You may very well avoid this. You have to really be active about not getting this interim evaluation. Start making deals.

I have notified the PBA as well as my fraternal organization and they think it appears to be retaliation for filing grievances against the CO in March

use lots of chapstick to soften up those lips, then go buy a real good set of kneepads. Daily visits to the CO's office house mouse style!
