like ive said before, the moderator, and his friends are afraid of people appealing for their fitness points!
DONT forget appeals must be submitted by MAY 9th!!!!!! get your fitness points that DCAS has forgot to add for many promotees!!!!
This is a legit post...i wonder why the moderator keeps removing it...

Thank you for bringing this issue to light. What is the procedure for appealing for your points? I DID go down to DCAS 21st floor and filled out an appeal form. Do you have any further details on this?

thats good enough, i mailed mines in when i got my incorrect score card
when i went in person a couple of weeks ago they told me we should get a response shortly after the appeals are in so shortly after may 9th.
if your appeal is successful, your points will be added and you will get a new list number in the mail!!
good luck buddy!

Why would the moderator be "afraid of you" getting the fitness points? Isn't he a sergeant already? He probably just didn't think your post was serious.

i dont know or even care who the moderator is.
I think this forum is a useful means to spread important information.
My posts have been legitimate since i first started.
People have argued that the points have been included and our math is wrong, for some they may be right, but a lot of us have been missing points due to DCAS not adding our fitness points.
The FIT points are useful, most people dont participate so it raises the score of us who do.
Since we earned the points they should be awarded.
Those who are upset about us appealling, either by removing the posts or calling us trolls, are just upset because their list numbers can potentially take longer to reach because of our new list numbers.
Good luck to everyone on their appeals!

6yrwonder, no one is knocking you. You earn the points and you deserve to have them. Nevertheless it's not really important to the bulk of the list. Theres no lawsuit and the appeals aren't going to affect the list. All the point does is adjust your seniority. That means that if number 900 and 901 go the the same command, if 900 didn't get his points he will pick before 901. That's it! It's not that serious. Fight for your. Point get promoted and next test study harder. Btw I didn't get my point either. It's not that serious.

thank you wisecop. But according to DCAS, the appeal will be done shortly, and if your due points it will affect the current list. The affected people will get a new number. Ex. If you are supposed to be number 500, then you will be number 499.1, which mean you are after 499, but before 500. Its actually a big deal, my list number will jump at best 100 names , so im thinking about 70 names since many people dont try for the fitness points.
I actually did well on the test, im in the 80s, i shouldve studied harder but i didnt. I just wish to pass on information for my coworkers.
Imagine if you scored a 72 and are due points, it would be a huge jump for them....Im just trying to help people out.

The jump from 72 to 73 is almost nothing. I get your point but you're way to into it. Are you related to Marco?

bigfoot, im not hear to prove a point, only to help out my fellow officers. but if you must know...im looking at the list as i type...
someone with a 76.304 has a list # 1252
someone with a 78.785 has a list # 961
thats less than 2.5 points, (2.481 to be exact) and is a difference of 291 names....so that actually is someonething...probably 4 or 5 classes
apparently your not thinking about everyone else like i am.
Good luck on the last day of your appeals everyone!

Marco Jr, please find me the one cop if there is one that did the fitness incentive for 5 years, and didn't get the points as well. Please find one. If you do, me, you, and Marco SR. will go fly kites on a windy day and argue which way the wind is coming from. The two losers (Marco Sr. and Marco Jr.) will have to do the JST and the mile and a half run while the winner films it and then sends it to the fitness incentive unit to hopefully gain half a point for the future Psych exams the two of you will surely take. How many names will that half a point move you up from being psyched out?

Because being in shape shouldn't be rewarded? Next time you call an 85 on the 20th floor of the projects tell me it's not important.

You can't believe it because you can't run a single lap around a quarter mile track.

We are talking promotional exam, not police academy. Settle down with the over emotional response in regards to an 85.

Marco will be submitting his protest. He shall state at his hearing that although he did complete the run, he did not make the required time. This was not due to being out of shape. It was due to the fact that there was a strong, gusting southerly wind and the track was facing north.

Congrats guys! You've earned it. Like you've said in the other thread 6yearwonder, this will only benefit those that didn't get all of their much deserved point(s). Can't hurt the rest, only common sense, as in someone cannot drop 90 names. Think of someone cutting the line... but in this case, these guys didn't, just that DCAS did them wrong.
