Instead of starting another rediculous false rumor and/or speculation thread, how about we start one on what we can expect to experience once we get to BMOC. What kind of training do they actually give you? Is it more hot air or do you get some actual useful training that prepares you to be the Desk officer and patrol supervisor when we get to our new commands. Any info is appreciated

Al bmoc is is basically every unit on this job, from Canine to Crime Scene to Inspections, coming in and doing a presentation. It's boring as ****. And no they don't teach you how to do the desk or patrol, but neither is rocket science.

Its a futile exercise in trying to stay awake for 8 hours.

The most helpful thing I got from BMOC was the desk officer "cheat sheet." The SBA finance guy wasn't bad either. Other than that, enjoy your four week vacation.

No they don't. They actually tell you not to forget where you came from. What they do tell you is you are a supervisor and when **** hits the fan, the investigation will be by the book. They put it in your head that you have hold yourself to a higher standard than the cops because you have to answer for their mistakes.

I heard the same shiit from cops in the past also until i went into Bmoc and saw first hand that nothing of that sort was ever said. Not even from IAB.

No- that happens 6-8 months after BMOC when you get drafted by IAB.

Remember where u came from. We were all cops once. Always make a decision ( right or wrong) cops will respect u more. No fluff. No kool aid drinking....not even from IAB. Guess it all depends on who does the presentation.

Bmocc is like the Bourne trilogy they try to de-program who you were and mold you into something else. Its up to you as what you absorb. I really think if you were a dick as a cop youll be a dick as a boss.

Its really tough to argue with that statement. Being that the person is in a supervisory role that effects those who are now under them, it just gets amplified even more.
