A sgt I know just got drafted to narcotics. He got a 67 on the 2011 LT test and is NOT on the 2006 list. And no he did NOT put in for anything. He was drafted along with a LT who is on the Capt's list.

10 sgts were drafted....9 of the 10 are on the tail end of the '06 list. Makes no sense. Why are they drafting guys that they aren't going to promote? Are they royally ****ing these guys...or are there major issues with our test and we are about to get screwed?

drafted to narcotics? who cares, they probably know that there will not be another class from the 2006 list, or they are idiots. I am going with the idiot theory.

If they didn't pass the 2011 exam that's a total screw job.

They didn't pass the 2011 Lts test. My Sgt partner got drafted. He is 300 names away on the '06 list and didn't take our test. I think they are screwing these guys royally.

Interesting. My first reaction was they drafted these guys because they know they are not going to promote them. As for the guy who got a 67 on the '11 test? Could it mean that they plan to throw the entire test out? It could just be incompetence on the part of the city of course.

I have a copy of the 2006 list and the finest message in my office. Your friend is not being honest 18 and 1. All 10 Sgts are on the 2006 Lt's list. Thier list numbers are between 1009 and 1096. 8 Lts were also drafted. I'm assuming they are on the Capt's list but that I can't confirm.

The only thing I can think of is the Sgt who got a 67 on the 2011 test, with all the throwout/double answers he might make the list, but on the very end of it, so it makes sense for him to get drafted.

Guys, our list has not been established yet. They don't know who is on it and who's not. This drafting that is being done by narcotics has nothing to do with us.

OCCB is short on supervisors, especially sergeants. The order published the other day withe occb transfers has a sgt with a 935 tax and another I believe with a 932. Neither one are on the 06 list

Little interesting facts for my fellow Sgts about past promotional exams, enjoy it.........hopefully you find it informative. No one hired since 911, class of july 2001 holds the rank of Lieutenant as of yet. There was a Sgt's test on 2003, which the class of 911 was not elegible for at the time. It was also the last test to receive a curved grade. The next Sgt's test was given in 2006. A fairly easy test which I failed for not listening to my partner and study like he did. I scored a 58. It was also the year of the 2006 Lt's test, which we very well know currently holds an active list. Then apparently the hardest Sgt's test in NYPD's history surfaced. Go figure, this one I passed and the list had 339 names after throwouts. The Class of 2000 was perfectly in sync to hit evey test as they came along. Class of 2000 got the Sgt's03, Lt's06, then Capt's 2008. Those are the few 925's and 926 Capts you see around sometimes. Soon the longest academy class in history (Class of 911) will have a Lieutenant of their own. Congrats and good luck to all

From the 9/11 class...hired off the '06 Sgts test. In the first group, missed the Lt's test by 12 days. Had to sit and watch guys who got 40+ questions wrong on the '03 Sgt's test get a crack at the '06 Lt's test while I was shut out. Has been a sore spot for the last 5 years. '06 test was not easy at all. Only produced a 600 person list. After seeing the Key's rewrite of the '07 exam, thier was virtually no difference.

Studying for the '06 Sgt's and '11 Lt's test, I've had the misfortune of taking rewrites of every Sgt test going back to '03. '03 test was definitely the most difficult. I would put the '06, '07, and '08 on the same level. The '09 test was definitely much easier than previous exams. I haven't seen the '11 Sgt's test but everything I have heard is that it was a joke.

Not really, they draft him and he's stuck there for 2 years, bc with that score, he aint getting promoted anytime sooner.

sorry but i do not agree. The 2007 sgt exam is not on the same level as the 2008 or 2009. Only 339 people passed the exam out of like 5000. It was probably one of the hardest given. My friend just missed passing the 2007 exam but did get an 85 on the 2008 exam. He said the 2008 exam was much easier than the previous years. The 2003 exam also may have been difficult, I am not sure, i do not know about that one. But saying 06,07,08 were all on the same level is wrong. The numbers speak for themselves.

the rewrites dont mean a thing. I took the 2006 LT rewrite and i got a 90 on it. Some of the questions are similiar, but not the same. It doesnt matter, but i hope that everyone who truly studied for this LT exam does get made. All time and suffering spent away from our loved ones has to be for something.

You and everyone else nyc...the '06 Lt's test was a joke. Guys with 35 wrong on the '03 Sgts test were at the top of the '06 Lt's list. But it's ****ing irrelevant. If it makes you feel better bro...the '07 Sgt's test was the hardest test ever given. Congrats on passing.
