NO !! You will wear stripes for life !! You will NOT lose your Chart Days to the Lieutentant's rank. You will earn more overtime as a sergeant. Too bad you WILL retain better benefits as a sergeant. You will NOT be yelled at during COMPSTAT meetings. 70? HA! Yeah right !
Nah in all seriousness if those with 70 ranked even in the 650 to 700 range, they will most likely get made. A lot of retiring going to happen in the next 2 years. They are not going to reach 700 on the current list.
Good luck on whatever you decide and be safe.

I hope so, and I think probably. I can't see the list being more than 700 at best (if there are massive throwouts), but then again what do I know...not the NYPD patrol guide thats for sure.

Imagine no throwouts or double answers , ppl are going to go crazy me being one !

i think they will throw out/dbl answer enough to fill "anticipated vacancies" over the next 4 years. I'm sure someone in DCAS or 1PP has a master spreadsheet that figures out how many people will pass if we toss this question or that question.

Absolutely agree, they will discard the amount of questions necessary so that nobody will die on this list.

I know of someone who told me they know they absolutely know they failed and told someone else they aced it so trust me a lot of people are exaggerating.

People are lying. I doubt more than 300 people passed with the initial key.
