Just make sure you have on one transcript, otherwise education tracking will not accept. If you 60+ from a college and 30 from the academy that does not mean you have 90+, you must consolidate them..

Shnaggles you have any idea who does it and how much it usually cost to consolidate a transcript?

If you have sent ur official transcript from the academy (in a sealed envelope) to you college, does that count as the 1 transcript towards the 96 credits??

I just consolidated my transcript for about $300 at Excelsior College. Excelsior will take the academy transcript with whatever additional college transcripts you have. Just have it sent back to the Educational Tracking Unit after it is consolidated.

How long did that take? Painless?

It was pretty painless. The hardest part was finding the certificates for the transcript application. If you had any additional training (besides the basic academy), Training Records wants a copy of the certificate with the application. If you don't have it the process takes a little longer. In total about 2 weeks to get the academy transcript and the other college transcripts to Excelsior. Another 2 weeks to have the consolidated one sent back to the academy. Like anything else though, it depends on how busy they are (meaning Excelsior).

Twice-lucky-Saturday did it matter how many credits u consolidate over or is it 1 flat rate of $300??

One flat fee of $270 for all transcripts sent in at once (you let them know how many to expect) and a $12 or $15 fee per consolidated transcript they send out. I only needed the one sent to the academy.

Your credits don't have to be consolidated. They do have to be on an official transcript for the job to count them. I had 3 different colleges send official trans. and all were accepted.

OK but the academy credits themselves have to be put on a college transcript and sent back to the PA. So why wouldn't consolidate all of them for the same $270. It Doesn't matter I just found it easier. There are alson on-line FEMA classes that are 1 credit each that the PA will accept, if you are a few short.

I'm not arguing with you. Some classes my not be accepted by another school. That was the only point I was trying to make. What you said is also correct.
