So what do we think, 40 for December then 70 for January to finish it off or is it the other way around?

Why are you shooting so low? All things considered I'm thinking 80 in December (bmoc starting Nov 28), the rest on January and/or February/March along with some from the new list. This is pure reasoning, no inside info.

I hope it's 80 in December and the rest in January

I'm not shooting low, I'm just not getting my hopes up. Everyone was banking on this class up front for the LT test and look what happened. It wasn't anyone's fault, the job is going to do what it wants. Last December they put in 75 people, I'm hoping they do the same if not a little more for this December.

I am actually very surprised that they are skipping a month. With about 1,600 recruits graduating at the end of December and a large class hired 20 years ago retiring I figured they would want as many Sgts out for New Year's as possible.

LoL. Maybe its better that there isnt a class. If we were to go in a November class, think about it...We would be out just in time for the xmas nonsense. Domestics, suicides, traffic snarls, countless details, low manpower, cold weather details... LOL On the other hand, If we were to go in for a December class we would be primed for a post holiday newbie sgt climate. Easy paced, user friendly transition.

Good point! We would be RDO for xmas eve AND xmas, too, if we graduate on the 23rd. Then a week a field training, RDO for New Year's Eve so we would definitely be going to the detail, and I wouldn't mind freezing my nuts off for once. :)

exactly 30 days and we are in. Pretty sure its gonna be a class of at least 60. There are 40 slots opened as of last week!

Will a pending CCRB "investigation" cause someone to be passed over for promotion, or will you have to meet with someone like if you're on force monitoring?

A CCRB shouldn't hold you up unless it's serious and/or likely to result in charges.
Any kind of chronic sick or monitoring will get you a meeting with the infamous Inspector J.
