Lets face it---there hasnt been movement for years in this dept. 9500+ cops take the test and a lot studied---and ALOT didnt. they are stuck where they are at. there was no cheating that was rampant---guys failed a civil service test and are trapped where they are b/c they didnt put in the time. the amount of trolls here is redic......get a life.i failed before because i didnt study the way i needed--this time---i did. put in ur time and stop trying to knock the ones who studied.....

I took this test and I have a lot of time on and I'm a detective. Ondeeair2321 sounds like the typical dip**** patrol Sergeant that gets promoted and thinks he knows everything and ****s on his cops. You may have passed, or you may not have. But passing this test doesn't make you some kind of expert on policing. All that learning this material prepares you for is learning this material. I don't have much of a desire to be a boss on this job as I like being a detective. However, one of my primary motivators is that I don't want all the ****y idiots that I see getting promoted to be in charge of me. And last time I checked your statement that "there hasn't been movement in years" is patently absurd. They are already at the end of the 2009 Sergeants list. That sounds like a lot of movement to me.

I think he's referring to movement on the job, details etc., not movement on the lists detective. You should watch what you say, you sound like a typical dip**** detective that thinks he knows everything.

Not a troll or a hater, nor do I think I know everything. However, no one should come on here and insult the cops that are trying to find out if they got promoted off a somewhat arbitrary test. Just the fact that all the people that post here still can't figure out what the answers are to some of the questions, even while looking them up in the patrol guide, might clue you in that there may be some problems with the process. It is what it is and we make the best of it, but guys shouldn't insult other cops for complaining.
I'm confident that I passed with a decent score. I worked my tail off. But even in my classroom the test started about a half hour late. That is a big problem, and they are denying guys the time they are supposed to give them under the law.

im not insulting anyone. im just saying to stop crying. i failed the test fair and square last time b/c i failed to prepare. my boys who got promoted i was one of the only ones at 1pp when they got made. i wished them the best of luck and said i ll get it next time. all there is to it. stop stirring the pot to give people the shakes for 5 weeks---ur a loser and ur not doing ur brothers right.....brother!
