im hearing and this is not a realiable source but i heard that the are going to put in a class of the rest of the 08 list either all in may  or half in may and the other half in june  followed by a july class and then every other month between 40 - 60

Shame on them who failed 2008 Sgt exam. and wishing for the list to be cut. Every one will be promoted by either July or September. Please stop b.s.

BMOC personnel state that they were not told of a class which means one is probably not coming down today. Sorry folks. Maybe because of the budget woes in Albany and the attacks on Wall St banks. I'll keep you posted...

I was informed that the finest doesn't aleways come down on a wed. It could still come down on a thur or fri. So let keep our fingers crossed.

No may class and most likely there is not gonna be June class either because there is too many sgt's. It seems that we are looking at July class now.

So when are they killing the list?

there is still a chance for a may class. the finest can still come down today or tomorrow. if not they might delay a class until july because july 1st is the new fiscal year for the city. this is when all the agencies get a few pennies of funding.

Too many Sergeants? We're do u work?

This is what I was told from someone who works in 1pp. I don't agree with it but that's what omap says.

If this is true about too many Sargents promotions might slow down as what happened with the LT list

Folk don't worry. There will be the May class which may start on May 10. Keeps hopes alive. Wish the best and don't be hopeless.

i have vaca coming on the week of may 10th i dont know if i should buy my plane ticket.

Buy it and enjoy a week away from work.

I don't want to get people crazy but I heard from a somewhat reliable source (what really is reliable) that there will be promotions @ the end of may which im assuming is for capt and Lt, possible chance of Sgts. If not a Sgts class in may we are looking at June so the class will graduate the first weekend in July which is the beginning of the new fiscal year for the department.
