Male, white, 20's, medium built.
Add brown hair and it's as generic a description as it gets.

I thought I heard it all, but something so ridiculous like this I never heard. What a cop looks like oh my God, I thought this was a promotional forum. Why do we even entertain this ignorant topic. Can we stay on track, and focus strictly on valuable promotional information.

I remember i was being trained not too long ago at every roll call for 5 days "how a cop looks like". Oleiry, maybe you are one of those that do not need to stand in roll call. thats why you think this topic is not important. the job think it is. streotype is a very big and important issue. if you think it doesn't exist, you are in denial

A lot of people are so serious. Try to take the posts lightly. There is nothing else to do on this forum until the list comes out anyway. I'm actually interested in what the general opinion about this is because I am very much unlike any other cop I've ever met.
I say: White, Male, 20's
I am, of course, nothing like this description but that's what pops into my mind when I try to picture a generic officer in uniform. Interestingly, a picture of me in uniform does not pop into my mind, a picture of what I described above does. I never thought about this before and it's fascinating.
Does what you picture as a generic cop when you close your eyes resemble you or not?

I don't know about y'all. but i have worked with people, when doing a car stop, or see someone commit a violation, they say" i bet u he's a cop". and while stopping other individual say" be careful". I don't know about you, i think that attitude can get us hurt. we may walked to the unexpected> use tactics. i think of a formula for good tactics in policing. GOOD TACTICS= VIGILANCE-STEREOTYPE. BE SAFE Y'ALL WEAR YOUR SEATBELT AND VEST. WEAR YOUR VEST EVEN WHILE ASSIGNED INSIDE STATION HOUSE. BUT AGAIN WHAT DO I KNOW I AM JUST A COP.
