I also was told 62 but the person I spoke with said the date may be delayed until after election day and after the Nov 2 promotions (super chief movement). The person said it may still be the 2nd, but just wanted me to know all the possible angles they can play with the start date.

In 2008 they promoted about 40 in Nov, and about 30 in Dec.

With non-eligibles and those being held up for various reasons, what approximate number will they be getting up to on NOV 2, with 62 going in?

i dont think itll be that high...im hoping ur right and im wrong though....if it is that high and they do a december class id be in...if they dont do a december class im gonna get passed over for all the people that hit 5 years in january and then ill probably be in sometime in like march or april...damn it...ha

Good luck to everyone getting promoted. Today, finest is going to have over 50 names for what I was told is going to be a very large class. Now they didn't give an exact number on how how many are going in but is definitely more than fifty.

Your command should notify you. Otherwise, watch the site and someone will post when the list comes down, pm that person your name and see if they can tell you if you are on it.

If graduation date is set for 11/24 that makes this current bmoc 3 weeks and 1 day. They have the opportunity to sqeeze a class in during early dec. Rather than in late dec. That is something to be optimistic about....interesting

Our last day for BMOC is 12/07. They have us going to training and FTU as a Sgt. Personally I think they're promoting us on 11/24 and then they will put us out on the Thanksgiving parade as Sgt's. But who knows. time will tell.

theyre not promoting anyone early. you honestly dont need more bosses at details of that magnitude, you need cops. They arent really hurting for sgt's. Nearly every squad in each tour in my command has sgt's doubled up. Definatley makes it easier to get a night off these days.

that screws me...passovers up to 460 who hit 5 years in january will be going in...good for them...sucks for me...i tried figuring out how many there were and i think its close to 60 people

The January guys dont hit 5 years until Jan 20th so if they start a class the beginning of January you wont get skipped, they would have to wait until march.

Get your facts straight. They would put the 5yr people in Jan and promote them on or after Jan 20th. Meaning they would go into BMOC DEC 30th and get promoted Jan 22nd

The guys who were passes over hut their 5 year mark of January 10, not 20th. Most likely, but obviously not 100 percent, the next class will be made up of all, if not mostly of the guys who were passed over.
