DCAS has announced a Capt.'s Test early 2010. Usually a Lt.'s test follows 6 months later. Start studying now.

There are a lot of rumors going around from bosses saying that the present 7508 Sgt. list will be cut on the up comming one year anniv. due to the fact that the dept. wants the best of the best. Could this be true ? After all the effort we put into studying and the list is being cut ?!??!!??

Should not worry about that until they get into the 600's. I can see the Dept sacraficing the last 71 people to start on the new 2009 list.

The list won't be cut trust me! If the job can promote Sgt's from the 911 exam who most failed that exam by the way , then this list will not be cut. That's right ppl there are sgt's on the job who actually failed the exam who still got promoted. Example Sgt d. riley from mcs.

If you call DCAS they say 7508 will be active till 2012, can the dept cut it short?

The best of the best? Hahaha!
Why would the dept care about the best of the best supervisors but hire half retarded recruits and POs? Seriously, who makes up these rumors?

DCAS states that the 7508 list will expire in September 2012. They can kill the list earlier only if the list is over a year and everyone from it got promoted already. So, I'm more then sure that all eligible people on this list will get made. The only question is how fast??!!

One of the only 2 times in my career that i got my rear ended handed to me was by d.riley from mcs. The only reason i ate the crow was that i was due into bmoc the next month and didnt need the drama. What goes around comes around i guess

People start a new subject and break away from the CAPT 2010 topic. Lets try to get to first base by getrting promoted to Sergeant before making posts 3 ranks higher from where you presently are.

It wasn't about the Capt. test. It was more about the possibility of a Lt.'s Test in 2010 and getting promoted to Sgt. before the Lt. Test.
