Because they have the list, it just isn't public yet.

That's what I mean. If it's not public how can they start taking people from it? Why not just make it public and then do it, like all other normal agencies?

You guys should do something about the list. It's corrupt that they are promoting people without letting everyone see where they stand call iab

Regarding lowest raw score I got a 83, bonus points = about 3.

Chief, do you mean a raw score of 83, before seniority points, medals, etc... and an 86 final score with additional points factored in?  I have a raw score of 77 and with seniority, medals, and physical fitness points, I'm at an 83. I did not make this BMOC class so was just wondering how it looks for me going in October.

How can they send guys to BMOC and not put a list out? thats crazy. My friend got a raw score of 81 and is going in tuesday. Any idea when our list is coming out?????

I ask because I got a 73 raw score, (81.5 total) with longevity and PT points.

I made it. Had raw score of 82.

I understand the frustration of not having a list to see where we stand, but at least it is a step in the right direction. Look at the glass half full, there are 71 people who are no longer in front of you. The day will come for a list and for promotion, we will just have to wait and hope to see our name on a finest message. Don't forget we are only 7 months removed from the test, the 2007 people waited 11 months for a list then a few more weeks after that for a class. When the list comes out we will be able to cross names off right away and have a real good idea where we stand. As for the conspiracy theories about how do you know if this person or that chiefs son was really ahead of you, if it happens get a lawyer, and let 4 or 5 more classes go in while the city passes you over. If you passed you will get promoted, I assure you the city looks into things before they do them, and if you wind up losing the lawsuit don't be surprised to see the 2009 test takers getting promoted before you. Remember the city is vindictive, a lot of people can attest to that. Congrats everyone who is going in on Tues. and I can't wait until my day comes.

That's great, a raw 73 gets in the first class, where's this list? Basically they do whatever they want.

i can see alot of lawsuits coming out of this because whos to say that some one that got a 70 who's uncle is a cheif is in this first class if i was you i will make sure to hold on to a copyof this list that came out today so when the list comes out you can match the names and if anybody for the bottom of the list is in that class iiiiimmmmmmmm ssuueinnnnnnng

The new list is not published because the department is trying to do the right thing for the people who got passed over on the 2007 exam and didnt have enough time.  There can not be 2 lists officially published at one time.  They still need many sergeants but can not wait until January 2009. They are trying to do the right thing by those 20-30 people because if they make 2008 official and public then the old list dies along with them.

Are you kidding about the raw score of 73?  I have a raw score of 77, an 83.3 with all points factored in and I wasn't on the finest message.  Just wondering.

No, the right thing would be to let people know where they stand. They can run two lists at once. Everyone knows before they take the test they need 5 years to be promoted, nobody should feel slighted.

This doesn't make any sense,.....The Department have not done this in many many years!!!!! CAT,...won't you shed some light and find out IF they're going to establish the list this week?
