How many people do you think need to pass this exam for them to start killing names on the list?
Or is the department so short on SGTs that everyone who passed will get made?

if 2000 passed, they would hire every one of them and still be giving a test in 3 years.

Relax brooklynbacon, nobody on your list is going to die, everybody will eventually get their chevrons. Rumor is that 700 something people passed. With throwouts/double answers (not a guarantee-but I think there will be) maybe 800-900 body list. You also have to remember, you passed the test. This isn't back in the day when cops were made bosses with scores in the 60s and 50s. You PASSED. Sit back and enjoy because bottom of your list will get made around December 2009. Wait and see in about June/July they're going to have another Sergeants Exam if the rumor of 700 is correct.

I know nothing about how many passed but honestly, if lets say 1500 people passed, the list will be exhausted. Reason why, the dept. and the city has been embarassed by the last two tests and how many people passed, not even a 1000 combined. Especially last Sgt. test, with articles in the Post and Daily News, about how few took the test and how 258 originally passed without double answers and throw outs.
Or is the department so short on SGTs that everyone who passed will get made?
