Most of that is accurate, I question the "one throw out" portion. Still hearing 1 throw out and 2 double answers.

There isn't one throwout, that was either wrong info or someone misinterpreted.

Throw outs aint easy. They could write it wrong. The sky can be green. They dont just throw it out. This is why people sue and go through a million process. DCAS deals with veteran credits hopefully they dont need an extra week to add simple math.

I still cant believe the # of changes. I dont discredit what hanging is saying about the # of throwouts though. I just dont see where there were that many issues with the questions. There were at least two double answers at the protest session already. So is this number in addition to those or are those included? I guess well find out next month.

We make fun of 1PP and act like they are in LALALAND. They know exactly how many Sgt they will need before announcing the next test. They know how many sgt will retire this and next year. The number of edit I made was really one to change the number of people that passed from 1245 to 1285 the other edit was adding more info as I got them.
They already have the list at 1PP and it was by social Security Number not by name. They added seniority and if you did the run/jst plus those medals. All that is done and sent back to DCAS. All they have to do now is add the military points and send list back to 1PP. DCAS all they have to now is add the points and send it back but we all cant have faith in DCAS.
Now if you wanf you can message me and discuss my source

By any chance did you have a failing score at the protest? I don't believe DCAS verifies veteran credits if you fail the exam. Allegedly there have been some changes to the answer key so if you now have passed it then DCAS will go ahead and verify the credit.
mikecoz said
Nov 18, 2017
They don't verify credits if you fail, the investigation told me that there. so giving that he took it in February, and he know got called for vet credits, there deff was a throwout or double answer that led him to pass now.
Noice said
Nov 18, 2017
Well if he's notified to come down to verify credits on the 1st, wouldn't that lead one to assume the list isn't coming out the 1st?

Remember, just because points arent added to a passers grade doesnt mean the list has to be held up. After lists are released, names are moved, removed etc.
Those list numbers dont stay the same over the 4 year life span. People think that list that hits the finest is final and refer to it till it expires. It changes very slightly.

If you got the question wrong even after the double answer then you were able to see. The double answers was already addressed during the protest. If you did not see it that means you got it right.
As I stated earlier I was told only 1 throw out.

If the double answers were already included at the protest and the list was 1182, then the list only going up about 100 people seems about right for 1 throwout.

You will all see for yourselves.
If you think 1 single throwout added approximately 100 people to the list you are insane. Look at the 2013 list. There are about 20-25 people per 70,71,72,73 in terms of score. 100 people didnt score a 69. And if they did, approximately 100 didnt all pick up the throwout.
Dont get caught up in rank of the sources, Chief, Inspector, whatever. Rank of your source doesnt mean jack, because the peoppe on the Test Validation board are Sergeants, they know exactly what was thrown out.

Cop from my command got notified to verify vet points on 12/5. They took the test on 02/22 but did not attend the PRS. Obviously things are moving along but Im unsure if this will affect the release of the list on 12/1.
HanginByAThread said

It doesnt. Look at the posting history of other exams. When the list is released peoples list numbers change due to vet points, medals, etc. the list is always slightly changing, some people move up a few names, some move down a few names. Some people are also added to te list (super late military test takers). It wont affect it.

To help clarify.... How it works is; If the Veteran clicked on the option to utilize his veterans points when he signed up for the exam, he will be notified to report to DCAS when they establish their own "potential" list. Upon report to DCAS they get finger printed again and sign a form nullifying any further utilization of points if they choose to apply the points. These points are able to be used ONCE, and once only. The Veteran can look at his score with and without the points and decide whether he wants to use the points or not. The points can be saved for the next exam if he feels he scored high enough. ONLY after all veterans are called up to DCAS will the list be recalculated and official list be released. The end is near for you all...

well there is no way this list is coming out dec 1. If what eamac is saying is true then veteran points are added before the list comes out. That actually makes sense. You can see on every list posted on the elitestrategic website that the vet points are added in. What would be the point in dcas establishing a list when the final scores arent tallied right? I would assume that something of this magnitude would be tallied as accurate as possible. Especially with veterans points having such a big weight (2.5) points. That could easily move someone 100+ names.

For those of you with veteran points, save the points for the next LT exam. Unlike the SGT exam where you'll all be promoted, the LT exam is competitive and you'll regret not saving your points for it.

You are not dealing with a lot of people. Its a very small number of vets who are going. Some are going on the first and some are on fifth. That still leaves enough time on the week for list to come out.
