Whats the point of vacancies when classes arent being put in?
And anyone else see that handful of sgts that lost 45+ days due to lying about religious accommodations to dcas? Smh.

The LT list is up to 339 and has 1325 names on it. That means there are approximately 1000 names to go. How old is the list now?

Hmm. After Novembers class the vacancies will be back to 30ish. I can see 30-40 bi-monthly being the standard going forward.
And thats means they would have to promote about 960 in two and a half years. The department will have to speed up promotions quite a bit to reach that mark.

Like I said in the other post you can realistically say next year will have 6 down months. The other 6 months if they only put 40 each month then the list will be in the low to mid 600s at this time next year (depending on a December class this year). If they continue that pace until the end of the list then they will get to over 1000 names. During the remainder of the list we dont know how the retirements end up. But if we do have a lot of people retiring like a lot of people predict then they can 100% get through the whole list. This is just my opinion but I dont think its that far off.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say that I am unfortunately no longer in a position where Im able to provide updates for everyone on vacancies.
Hopefully someone else will take the helm. Ill still be on the forum of course, and I wish everyone the best of luck in their quest for promotion to whatever rank they are striving for. Keep moving up!

I assume another 200-250 by years end. The longer we go without classes the more frequent and bigger the classes will be when it starts again....end result should be the same. Just sucks for the people that are really close.

Instead of asking what are the number of vacancies. How about. How does one find the vacancy number out. Is it only certain people have access to. Is it a 1PP or is it someone has to count all the units. Just curious
