From the date that you are out of contract to the day Before you go into the new contract

Where are you hearing that from? would b nice if the SBA could let its membership know something rather then keeping everything like its some big secrete and we should be grateful that they exist as our all knowing overlords. They can only hide behind we were asked to keep negotiations secrets for so long. But then again they wont even show anyone the actual contract so what does that tell you.
Hey maybe These guys dont know how to use email.

A few random texts going around make it seem like the union has no idea when the city is paying us out. I ignored the first one but just got another. Same thing. Might be end of June/July for both raise and retro. With the way things are going, I expect August.

Confirmed from the delegates meeting, City told the SBA late June/July for the pay raise and retro, both will be reflected on the same check. Central payroll is having an issue figuring out an equation to bring everyone to top pay and apparently thats the hold up. My guess is we will see everything on the July 18th Holiday paycheck. The city always wins.

There is an equation issue until that equation lands with the holiday check.

When are we at least going to see the raise? The constant lack of communication shows how inept this union is
WartimeConsigliere said

Apparently the whole payroll cant figure out how to put everyone to top pay thing was shared at the delegate meeting. I figure thats email worthy, right? Couldnt hurt to say we are monitoring the situation and will advise you on this very important issue and provide updates as they become available, hang in there and continue to make less than your cops and rookie Sgts, sorry about the lost pension interest, 457 contributions and your debts APR, right?

It's not like a PAA in payroll is trying to create this formula, right?...........right?

I am 99% certain that is exactly what is happening, or rather, not happening. (until I hear otherwise)

Youd be relaxed AF if you were getting paid full boat salary plus to not do your job. Probably doesnt know how to turn on a BWC.

Literally the opposite of money in the bank. Negative interest, multiple years worth.

I would almost bet my entire retro check at this point that we will receive an email from Vinny stating that he regrets to inform but the city gave them short notice and its too late to adjust your 457
SBA MIA said

I just logged onto the deferred comp website. Even if we were told today to switch your deferral it would be the June 20th check. They usually give 4-5 days to adjust so best case scenario would be the July 4th check if we are notified on Monday. This union is so inept

I would make that bet as well. I can see the city doing that to spite the union. Negotiations weren't exactly easy.

Maybe chatGPT can just make the formula changes for them. They are acting as if they are cracking the Davinci code with the F*** formula.

Anyone have any insight as to why/how having 10+ years on the job loses you $171 in service differential?

Need to have 5 yrs in rank so 10+ line is first you can get the differential. That 1378 should be 0.

The day after we get it. They will have a delegate meeting to let them know we should all be happy we got a contract, and excepting to be able to just adjust out deferred comp is us being greedy.

No one should be suprised I told everyone they were going to take until August to pay us. I thought it would be the August 15 check, I was 2 weeks off. I dont know where the rumours of June or July came from. That was unrealistic.

Did everyone read the email? Anyone at 97k might still have to wait for their retro and top pay wage increase. Only general wage increases and retro will be paid Aug 1
