yeah 1k would be optimal, but im guessing the geniuses spinning the wheels at 1pp will give an odd ball class next bmoc of 51 entries, or 53. I just don't understand their system. I don't think I ever will.

This class graduating will put them around 700. Minimum of 2 more classes at 50 a piece get you to 800. But with the vacancies, bigger classes will get you to 850ish
yougonow said
Jul 10, 2019
Which is why guys are rooting for two 75-80 numbered classes to push the envelope to 950ish
Bklynsouth3020 said

You would need 2 classes of 125 to get near 950. 2 classes of 75-80 get you to 850

I dont know if youll ever get another credible update on vacancies. 63ASAP said when he got promoted to LT he wouldnt have access to the numbers again. Since he got promoted he posted once.

Quite ungrateful arent we? How about a thank you? However, to answer your question yes it is accurate and does not include guys in bmoc nor mentoring. BMOC promotion is at the end and mentoring doesnt count.

The only people staying on this job are in good gigs. Anyone on patrol with 20+ years on will be a complete EDP to not retire, regardless of whether you're a cop/sgt/lt. This job doesn't back anyone anymore unless you're uncle or dad is a Chief, example: Chief Essigs son.

Most people dont prepare for retirement. Complete your education, get a license in another field and build you skill set for the private sector at least 5 years before your retirement so you dont have to be stuck here against your will. Another important item is to live below your means saving for you future. This job will chew you out and spit you out at the least expected time just for doing what you are supposed to. Get out an enjoy you retirement when you still can.

You guys are not including the 60 something actual LT vacancies with another 30 something terminals, making it essentially almost 90 probable vacancies to LT. If they drop a 50pc class that's another legit 50 right off the bat. Lts are short, they wont keep those vacancies stagnant.
Reality with LT vacancies combined is roughly 400-420 openings for Sgt movement.
The lack of LT promotions is the problem at the moment.

roughly 330 TOTAL vacancies (including terminals) between SGT and LT's, if the LTs list throws in 50, plus residuals for beginning of year. Minus 80 going in, we should be good for a 3 piece 80 class before nose diving numbers and slowing a little bit.

Yes but these are the anniversaries of the Pre 9/11 classes that were 3K plus. They had 3 squads of recruits per academy class. I heard stories of 4-6 people sharing a gym locker
