These names will be the the list. Ive heard of a few others who didnt pass, and are on this list. If youre not on it, you wont get promoted. Thats the most logical sense. Everyone took the test, they added throw outs, created a list of names who passed with a raw score of 70 and above (with throw outs included), and thatll be the list.
I got a 66, and am not on the list that was put out this morning. I personally know two people who scored 69 and 67 and are on the list.
There are plenty of names on this list for promotion that the job wont have to add more.

I think theyll implement some sort of curve to make the list a little bigger then it is currentl. not a huge one. Maybe 5 points. itll get them to around the same size as the last list. it was what 2700? Thats it tho. We wont see no 15 pt curve.

From the looks of it seems like 5-6 throwouts that puts this raw list around 2400 give or take. Factor in about 100-200 people on that list already left the job, a curve of 3-5 points can very much be in play to put the official list at around 3k

Agreed. But, if you consider that some people whose raw score was under 70 is now on this list it can be assumed that there is a difference to those who scored close to 70 and arent on this list. So the list does mean something. If this list is those who passed, and youre not on it, you didnt pass.

I hope not tbh
I hope they do like I said alot of ppl in the 60s put forward a huge effort with the expense of not spending time with their families or on their own personal lives. Let's please try to keep hope and positivity alive for those who are within that striking range.
There were a lot of people who passed who also sacrificed time with their families. There were also people who scored low 60s and high 50s who put no time into studying. Point is the line has to be drawn somewhere. Its not fair to a jr cop who barely passes and gets jumped by a guy who has all the extra points and scored a 58. Its possible not everyone gets made if their is a huge list. Where do you draw the line?
EXACTLY. I understand Passit is in a position where he would benefit greatly from a curve. But we have to be honest with ourselves and see things for what they are. Curving/scaling exams is not a good thing, and is not fair at all for those who actually got a passing score. You know how heartbreaking it would be to get a 71 on an exam, have hundreds if not thousand(s) of failures pass you and not make the cut because of it. Thats messed up, and if you think theres nothing wrong with that, idk what to tell you tbh.
Like I said in my previous post those of you who passed you are in great shape and you will not get jumped over I promise you that's not going to happen to you. I saw this first hand on the 2017 exam those who got curved did not jump over those who originally passed the test those who originally passed the test not only benefited from the curve but got promoted way faster than the ones who got curved after they failed
Its not about me, I got an 83. People will pass me of course, but not the people who failed, Ill be in a solid position regardless. Im taking about the principle of all this buffoonery. You cant make promises, because you dont know what will come out of all of this. At the end of the day its out of our control. We all have our own perspective and opinions on these things. Thats ok, good luck with everything tho bro
Exactly my point you got a 83 which is Awesome by the way the curve if implemented would put you close to a 90 somebody like me will not jump over you believe me LOL good luck to you too
If you have someone score a 69 and has 10 years otj and military.. and then another who scored 73 with 3 years otj, they would be passed up by the guy who originally failed.

Not necessarily a bad thing when scores are close, but a guy who gets a 57 shouldnt be passing anyone..

There will be a curve. Whatever that median score is, its below 70. Thats how curves work. This is the list of everyone whos 70 or above with throw outs. If the curved median score is 64 that becomes the new 70. If the throw outs brought people to 64 they will not be on this list because this is who currently has a 70. Once they curve it a new list will be made. With that being said I am sure they already know where that curve median score is and are notifying the people that fit within those guidelines. This list is most likely going to get way bigger.

I understand anticipated vacancies and the need to have a list big enough to fill them, but realistically 4k names would be a lot in 4 years to promote. 2500 might even be pushing it but still possible.
