i missed april by less than 5 names, is it true that they sometimes add people before the class starts

If they add people it would most likely be those individuals that were skipped over and correced their conditon or will correct it and have their status changed within the next week or two

What I mean is the there are rarely sgt classes that go in over the summer. I know everyone on here wants to convince themselves that this list is gonna be completed by october but be realistic. There is no great shortage of sergeants, your time will come but be patient. In the meantime, keep your numbers up and your handcuffs free of rust.

Hairlessape/Zoomaster whatever you want call yourself, don't know why you have to change your screen name every couple of months but whatever. There is a shortage in the rank of sgt, this is why they have been steadily promoting. Do you really think the last two months 59 sgts retired and the dept is just filling those spots now? Come on. It doesn't take a detective to figure that one out. I see them promoting through the summer, maybe not back to back months but the department is not going to stop promoting until this list is exhausted.

I don't care for apes photos or his general attitude on this forum but his info is dead on. My brother is a lieut. in EMD says no promotions till the fall and no academy class this summer....great i just wasted 2months studying to lieut. test thinkin i was out next month.

If anyone hears different in BMOC please let us know....this is so upsetting.....

On the good news front a spot opened up, a guy from the fall class was just demoted and sent back to the Bronx....apparently caught on audio tape telling cops bring in more activity....cant wait to read this one in papers

btkx15...you should by now who has dependable info, and who doesn't. You should also know what's going on here with a certain someone who finds it humorous to spread false rumors. Don't even BEGIN to entertain it.

My friend in bmoc just called me and said he spoke with the asian lieutenant that runs the course 15minutes ago. He said that the lieutenant told him "no classes are lined up for the summer". He also said that the next class will most likely be in the fall. See if you can verify this through other people that are in bmoc. I'm biting my tongue, I don't want to say the phrase: "I ___ld y__ so.

I wish this board had moderators so we could ban certain people (Hairlessape/jackmeoff/zoomaster) from this site. Anyway, did anyone else hear about the Dept possibly giving out another sgt exam? Possibly around the same time as the Lt's exam? Hairlessape, I know you still won't be eligible for that exam either because your fresh out of the academy and all but at least there's another board you can harass with your nonsense comments. What a loser.

Detox, I don't know what your deal is. Will it make you happy if I tell you there will be a class every month until january. Is that what you need to here for my comments to be good info. Obviously my comments aren't nonsense so stop trying to spread false hope to everyone waiting.

During my phase 1 in late march the LT said they have no idea when and if there will be a class until 2 weeks before the class starts. They also said historically they don't put in classes during the summer months and that they usually put in the largest class possible (75) the month before a promotional exam. The way I see it, if your source isn't a 3 star chief and up or a dep commish and up then all your info is just a rumor and isn't credible. Most accurate info from this board comes 2-3 weeks before bmoc classes start. Any speculation even 1 month ahead isn't accurate. So I'll be checking every 15th of the month.

Ok. Spoke to the other sgt and she said she is pretty sure they will put in a class before the summer. Alsoa sgt exam is being set up for october or november.

Just got a text from friend in bmoc. He said he was just speaking with the female instructor of the course and she stated "the brass here is hinting that next class will be in september or october." Damn, I need to hear some good news. I've been waiting forever. At least I'm on the list and should be in the next class.

Heard April 29th is the tentative promotion date. Good luck to all getting made.
