Glad to see the thread has been reopened. These numbers reflect a 23% passrate, rounded up. I doubt they would curve a test with such a high pass rate.

I hope not tbh
I hope they do like I said alot of ppl in the 60s put forward a huge effort with the expense of not spending time with their families or on their own personal lives. Let's please try to keep hope and positivity alive for those who are within that striking range.
There were a lot of people who passed who also sacrificed time with their families. There were also people who scored low 60s and high 50s who put no time into studying. Point is the line has to be drawn somewhere. Its not fair to a jr cop who barely passes and gets jumped by a guy who has all the extra points and scored a 58. Its possible not everyone gets made if their is a huge list. Where do you draw the line?
EXACTLY. I understand Passit is in a position where he would benefit greatly from a curve. But we have to be honest with ourselves and see things for what they are. Curving/scaling exams is not a good thing, and is not fair at all for those who actually got a passing score. You know how heartbreaking it would be to get a 71 on an exam, have hundreds if not thousand(s) of failures pass you and not make the cut because of it. Thats messed up, and if you think theres nothing wrong with that, idk what to tell you tbh.
Like I said in my previous post those of you who passed you are in great shape and you will not get jumped over I promise you that's not going to happen to you. I saw this first hand on the 2017 exam those who got curved did not jump over those who originally passed the test those who originally passed the test not only benefited from the curve but got promoted way faster than the ones who got curved after they failed..... and I'm not the only one who's in a good position to benefit everybody in here especially those of you who passed will benefit even better from this curve than I would

I hope the best for everyone just as long as it is fair to everyone. Were always selling out the young guys and girls on this job and it would be messed up that they get jumped because a person with a 58 ended up passing and has more seniority. Thats my stance but I do understand yours. The job is what it is. Never stop losing hope or working hard.

Exactly ....thinking back tho I don't think in the 2017 exam the ones who got curved after they failed got any seniority points ...I think they got curved and a few throwouts and that's it.

Seniority points apply the moment you pass 70, with or without curve. If you got a 57, picked up 13 through throwouts and the the curve and landed at a 70, you then had senority and everything else applied.

I took the Key, i trust what he says. If it is accurate, i still think there was a mixup and DCAS meant it is with the throwouts including. Remember there can be more than 5 throwouts, 2017 and 2022 exam were completely different.
But yes i agree i dont see how its possible because thats over twice as many people who passed the 2017 exam. We will just have to wait and see.

Maybe a more reasonable explanation is that day 1 has been curved and is ready but day 2 hasnt been curved yet. That would account for the discrepancy and would still make the statement true that those numbers are without curve

Right so with throw aways were looking 2500+ without a curve. Last list wasnt much more. Wouldnt expect a large curve at all than. Or if they do many will die on list. Promoting that many can take a very long time.

The above data is 100% accurate post says. Its FOIL data and It is without a curve and additional points. Can expect a 3-4k list after curve with those raw score numbers.. a lot of leap frogging will happen once curve brings some of those failing scores to a 70. Add Seniority, military & fitness can bring them up to 80s. Hate it or love it his information is yet to be wrong. A lot of people will die on the list.

Just FYI, this is not true. I had a raw score of 70 for the 2017 Sergeant exam. When the initial passers were revealed, my list number was 1,1xx, after the throwouts and alleged curve, I was 1,5xx because of the guy who scored 60, got a 70 with throwouts had 10 years on + military jumped me with an extra 12 points. So those who had a raw score of 70 with ~3-5 years will be impacted negatively despite passing the test as is

Yes numbers don't lie... Clearly that test was less fair then the rest. Day 1 38% rate is insane.... 38% of people on any session for any test shouldn't be passing.

looks like the lowest score that passed was 65 from the people ive been talking to for the last hour, does anyone know anyone who passed with lower than 65?
I hope the best for everyone just as long as it is fair to everyone. Were always selling out the young guys and girls on this job and it would be messed up that they get jumped because a person with a 58 ended up passing and has more seniority. Thats my stance but I do understand yours. The job is what it is. Never stop losing hope or working hard.
Exactly ....thinking back tho I don't think in the 2017 exam the ones who got curved after they failed got any seniority points ...I think they got curved and a few throwouts and that's it.
O I see...i got a 66 on that 2017 exam after the curve soo i didnt get a chance to see how that works. .......where is Dr btw

Dr Papi ?
Respect the guidelines.dont shoot the messenger
But yes i agree i dont see how its possible because thats over twice as many people who passed the 2017 exam. We will just have to wait and see.
I'm. Hoping that's the case.....that could also include a curve as well that's alot of ppl
Maybe a more reasonable explanation is that day 1 has been curved and is ready but day 2 hasnt been curved yet. That would account for the discrepancy and would still make the statement true that those numbers are without curve
Was the day 2 AM exam administered in Latin?
Pig Latin .. get it. Cuz were cops.
Could be this also makes sense
Doubt it. He literally said this is without a curve.
Dcas could of told him whatever they want....
Sure , but Id trust DCAS and Misfud over a couple hypothetical what ifs.
These numbers are legit straight from a foil request and yes these numbers are NOT CURVED OR ADJUSTED! Clearly something happened Aug 4th on the Am session! Was it a different test wrong answer key who knows I dont!
Right so with throw aways were looking 2500+ without a curve. Last list wasnt much more. Wouldnt expect a large curve at all than. Or if they do many will die on list. Promoting that many can take a very long time.
Ok since there are so many people who know it all!!! Attached are documents indicating what I posted earlier. YES RAW score ONLY!! A friend, retired Captain Jack Jaskaran obtained this data from DCAS.

Thanks
Thats adjusted I know someone on that who got Dcas email at 66.
@KeyCapt, can you explain why DCAS might still take another 2 months to release the list, when they have all this data ready to go? I don't understand what takes so long.

Any guesses as to what happened on day 2 morning ? That's an extremly low rate .
Most likely
Same here....high 60s got the throwouts.....hopefully they still curve it.
So those who had a raw score of 70 with ~3-5 years will be impacted negatively despite passing the test as is
Well.lets see if they still curve it
that list is going to be insane if they do.
to his defense, he was only partially wrong lmao.
the 2400 or so passing scores right now do not include any make
ups. Add at least another 1-200 ppl.
? Almost half the people who walked into session one passed .. Almost no one who walked into session 3 passed ?
doesnt negate the fact that they were given the material by day one people, and somehow still managed to do worse than day one. It is crazy to see this, but numbers dont lie.
I believe protest was September but TVB began November. I could be wrong. Maybe this is a curve because there are 5 people I know on that list who scored between 65-69.
Yes numbers don't lie... Clearly that test was less fair then the rest. Day 1 38% rate is insane.... 38% of people on any session for any test shouldn't be passing.
First post was just numbers of applicants by day with no attachments. Dont think these lists were attached to that Septmeber email.
That is simply the FOIL for how many people actually sat for the test. This information has been known for a while (since September). The data with the names of passers is what's newly released
My boy scored in the 60s and shes on the list. took it day 1
That doesn't include a curve just throwuts
High or low 60s
