Just curious how does a private business entity tells City agency what they want or how to run things?
Because they are a wealth of knowledge and are familiar with how to petition for change in the testing process.
It's like protesting a question on the exam, you won't have any throw-outs if you don't do your due diligence to protest any questions.
Or the lawsuit during the 2015 Lt's exam debacle.

It would be really messed up if they made it hard being the fact that they're not giving us any time to get some real studying in

No one knows for certain the direction they are going to go with this exam, except the exam writers (who are sworn to secrecy). The rumors you are hearing are just that, rumors. Prepare for the worst exam possible and you'll score in the 90's on a fair exam.

One can make a lot of claims when theres no way for others to check if they are actually true. After all, product needs to be sold.

Im hearing ONLY 2,800-3,000 Cops signed up for the Sgt Exam, is this TRUE?! If so whats going to happen?! The department had to expect minimum 8-12K to sign up.

Rumors lol. Im pretty sure this is going to be one of most competitive tests given and probably more around 12K total test takers, but only DCAS has answer to that.
Thats who I used a bunch of times to foil such requests. Not sure if they are still there. Just say you would like to foil total number of ppl who signed up. Usually takes few weeks

Our products sell regardless of what DCAS does—2/9 or 3/16 cutoff, business-wise it’s all the same. Our collective goal was to make sure no one gets screwed over; we’ve been there and done that and know how stressful these exams can be.

Happy Al, are you a complete D-Bag? Or just half of one? How do you not see what Rising Star & The Key did here for everyone? You don't think they know people on the inside to influence decisions like that? I actually sat next Tony from Rising Star at my sergeant protest session. He was able to get in to see the test and help us protest questions. Why would he do that? I'm assuming because he actually cares about his students and making sure DCAS doesn't screw everyone over. If it was all about business & $$$$$, he wouldn't do anything and hopes everyone fails so they could have another fast test and make more money. People like u talk sh!t and don't even think first.

How anyone who has been even remotely around promo exams more than a day thinks 2 schools teaming up is a bad idea is beyond me. Wait until you get screwed and you'll be happy to have them in your corner. Lol seriously as the other poster said, more people failing helps them make $ more than people passing. Just because a business wants to make a profit doesn't mean they're all out to F you. Anyway back to the other question...I agree I think it has to be over 3k signed up. Hopefully someone with some free time can do that FOIL and let us know. There isn't one cop in my command who ISNT taking it.

Same just now received. Per the email/new NOE; we'll be notifed 3 weeks prior of the date? Insane. Planning to only give us 3 weeks notice of when we'll be taking the exam. Hopefully RS/Key are able to fight for an equitable solution in the meantime. @ Eze / Tony Rags/ KeyCapt anything further would be greatley appreciated.

The exam will be given on the same day for everyone; no multiple days. However, the exam date may not be June 6, but sometime reasonably close. DCAS does not have the test locations identified yet... We will keep you updated as soon as we hear final details from official sources.
