I hope so. Sure it's possible, but I wouldn't count on it. Hope I'm wrong. It's probably a few months until those terminals turnover to vacancies. Then again, the new fiscal year begins in June. Maybe they'll live life on the edge and put a class in.

Connection in city hall is saying every city agency is commanded to cut their budget due to a so called deficit in revenue.

Summonses are down substantially citywide. With that revenue down they need to cut money in other places ie promotions.

I heard the same intel but from a higher up. They are replacing UMOS with civilians to save money. Get ready to see PAAs doing the desk soon

The budget cuts are confirmed. You can all thank Mayor DeBlasio for the deficit.

Budget cut requests aren't new. This particular request came down from City Hall a while back. Overtime cap reductions are coming down for us as a result, but there are no holds/freezes on promotions being anticipated at this time. In fact, that will probably be one of the last places to go, since that type of cut would hamper operational efficiency.

This article is almost 2 years old, i don't think it's going to affect much. The City has plenty of money, but due to City Hall's "progressive" agenda they want to take funds from city agencies and divert the money towards "progressive" programs/agencies.

What do you think? lol. Dumb cops can't even string the right words together to properly pull a prank. That's the real joke here.

i dont see that. Thats around 135 promotions a year which is far below even the historical numbers. By the next promotion date in may we should be around 100 vacancy/terminal numbers with mass retirements coming.
