If you want to verify your list number you can call DCAS at 212-669-1357. Click on option 2 then enter your social security number and exam 3539. It is an automated message and it gives you the most current information regarding the list.

i'm hearing that 60 lt's were supposed to go in with that captains class but it has been cancelled now due to the re ordering of the list. Due to that i was told that will most likely have an effect on our list for july. Prob one more down month then hopefully big classes ahead for everyone.

Well if that rumor is true then at least have this to look foward to....there's about 20 LT being promoted to captain tomorrow which means about 20 additional sgts are now needed so when promotions start its gonna be an additional 20 going into bmoc....come on guys lets stay positive here

I wish it was a joke but i think its true. my source is pretty solid and was told only class going in now is the captains class which should be followed by a bigger then normal sgt and lt class come august.

Another down month??? This department is a joke. Almost three years since the test was given and they are not even half way on the list. I know the 2011 list was a long list and the test was administered early but enough with the b.s.

Well if there was to be a Monday class they would need to notify commands today so tomorrow roll call can notify you for your new RDOs Saturday and Sunday. That's my educated guess. So since we got nothing tonight then Monday there is a good chance of no class.

Guys you can get notified at home it's not that serious...there's no procedure or rule they follow u get transferred and that's it they can figure out ur rdos at a later date...many examples but the last one I know of is this guys command gets a phone call from another command asking where this detective was...confused the answering command wants to know why....turns out the guy had been transferred the week before and no one notified him and it took both commands 1 week to figure it out...with that being said this is the job we are on anything is possible until it's not feel me? Stay positive y'all

The 2011 test was almost double our list and they went through the whole list before it expired. I think everyone on this list will be fine.

Remember that when this list came out, there were about 500 and change left on the 2011 list, if u add 900 and change to the 500 it's a total of 1600. If they keep having these many down months, this list might expire.

the clock on the list doesnt start til they promote the very first person off of it...it doesnt start when they establish the list...so our clock began last november 2015, our list is good til november 2019...we'll be fine
and oh gawd, i feel your pain...but if you have any of the luck that my new sgt has, you will STILL be dealing with patrol nonsense, maybe more of it, but you'll be in a car and probably have time to actually take a meal of some sort most nights

The list is not going to expire, but too be honest with all the sergeants going to patrol with the whole NCO program going on, the people on the bottom of the list are going to have to wait a while to get promoted. I work in a Manhattan north precinct on the 4x12 tour and we have 4 sergeants and 1 LT working during the tour. All the conditions sgts, sneu sgts and all those other speciality sgts were bounced to patrol. So I can see the need for sergeants decreasing in the near future.
