i wont name drop the guy. and its a fact that he was never in the rank of sgt. he was allowed to take 2009 sgt exam b/c he was on active orders for 4 years and once he got a passing score he was allowed to take the 2011 lt exam. how do i know this---because he came thru my office when he got promoted. and two--hes in a PSA, hes a Lt, and he was a cop in 2013 in Man North. i ll leave it to the detectives. he was on orders for 4 years at pentagon. hes a probationary Lt as we speak. yep. the jobs on level. ha.

Ondeeair you are wrong. You have to be a SGT for two years before you can be promoted to LT. It doesnt mean that you actually have to be on the job working as a SGT, but you cannot get promoted to LT until 2 years after the date you were promoted to SGT even if you are out of leave. DCAS will not certify you for promotion until exactly two years from the date of certification to SGT. So if you are out on military leave for 5 years and you got promoted to SGT at 2 years into that leave, you can be promoted to LT at the 4th year of that leave. It doesnt mean that you were NEVER a SGT, it just means that you spent you time as a SGT out on military leave. I know plenty of people that have been on military leave for years and get promoted while out on leave. Leave doesnt mean that your clock stops. By law, service members clocks can never stop and continue while out!!! And FYI he couldnt have taken the 2009 SGT test after Oct 2011. He probably took the 2011 SGT exam as a replacement for the 2009 exam (you are given the most recent exam that was given) and then once he passed and given a retroactive promotion date from the 2009 list, he automatically became eligible to take the 2011 LT exam based on that retroactive promotion date...... and I think I know who you are referring to, but I wont call the guy out either..... I salute all the veterans out there defending this country so I'm not a hater!!!

Very passionate and heartfelt rant, but there are veterans that don't get mysteriously scheduled for drill or deployment leading up to promotional tests not once but multi times, it's pathetic. There are veterans that serve with honor and integrity and refuse to tarnish their careers. There's several on this forum and many are my friends. Let's not mix the two things. So WISECOP, let me get this straight. If you were in the military, and then you were called to military duty for 1 year, 2 years, or whatever; Then you missed a promotional exam while you were out on leave, you wouldn't take a make up exam because you would feel that you didn't earn your rank? So you would say, NO, I'm not going to take this SGT exam, I'll wait for the next one? Do you think that military guys decide when a test is going to be given and what exam they take and when?

# 2 for the millionth time on this site no one is mad at the guys that legitimately deploy in defense of our beloved nation. The problem is with the people who schedule their drills for test day or volunteer for a deployment to NJ so they can take the make up exam.

I agree with this statement 100%. If someone is legitimately deployed, then I have no problem with it. In fact I feel like this is a great bonus for them since they are fighting for our country.... But....
If someone intentionally schedules leave for the purpose of scamming, then I say F-U-C-K THEM!!!

"Military, sabbath, sick" ; a cheater is a cheater.

WISECOP, I understand what you are saying and it definitely was NOT a rant... I dont need to rant, I got mine and I'm not salty.... and I'm just speaking specifically of about the scenario where someone in the military has been out for YEARS and missed multiple tests of even different ranks. Not a weekend drill that was rescheduled. onedeerair stated that the guy was NEVER a SGT.... I'm just stating that its not a fact and impossible for someone to have NEVER been a SGT before getting promoted to LT.
**** that I wish I took the test later what's the hate with these guys. It is what it is!!!!
Negative, I'm proud to earn my rank.
Lol
I'm I the only one jealous here. I wish I was in the military or Jewish. At the end these guys will be our bosses, Banks passed all 3 exams on the make up day. At the end who gives a ****, let's hope they change the system
