woahhhhh watch out with the truth around here....it gets you in trouble with ppl. They dont like the truth...in fact some like to say
"well im out---dead in the water just missing it. so close--but didnt make it. i asked my buddy and he is sticking to what their saying--they want an exam NEXT YEAR. there will NOT be many throwouts and double answers."
and then......
"u heard it here first. i too was wondering what the list would be--the chatter i was told about exam next year. my buddy today says at least 400+ and another exam in 4."
oh man genius....you cant go wrong!!!
Truth is people passed the test. I failed. Good for them, sucks for me. I hope there are enough throwouts for me to make the list. Otherwise I hope it's a small list and another exam soon. Anyone that fails says any different is full of ****.

it APPEARS people in 60s give their scores and other who don't give off the impression that they aren't even that high.
69,67,65,65,62 are guys over here who admitted their scores. Everyone else is electing not to volunteer.

I'm with you Xavier. I need two points. If I don't get them, I'm done. I'm not studying for Lieutenant again. I have a good gig. I would never say never but I never had any ambition to be a Captain+ anyway. Even if someone gave me a 100% guarantee that repeating the effort and sacrifice I gave to the last test would give me a passing score I wouldn't do it. It just isn't worth it for me personally at this stage of my life and career.

doa.....everything is statistics...and with an exam liike this...the number of passers or lack there of, seems the statistics of you passing will be high. The best part...the guys who passed, seem like they got the ones you guys got wrong. That means more chance of protests. So even though many ppl at 68/69....may be a good thing for the numbers we are seeing.

this is not a team sport folks...ppl want wat helps them the most...so for the guys who passed it dont matter. Now its will there be another exam in one year with small list or will there be a bunch of throw outs with big list. Guys who are in low 60's are prob on that boarder. Guys with 68's obviously want to be throwouts. But in the end..these are all guys who studied. Sucks waiting...but the answer will come.

With the amount of protests of the same questions and low passing rate I would be very surprised if there are not throwouts. Im not one of those people on here who think they will throw questions out to get a desired number for the list. I believe well thought out protests will be the key. Im hoping to pick up 5 points. If not ill study harder next time.

I hear you and I appreciate you saying it. Although you can't tell from my last post, I'm actually optimistic about getting the two points I need. I hope I do. If not, I'll survive. There are greater tragedies in this life. All I'm saying is, if it doesn't pan out and the effort I put forth wasn't enough to earn me a seat at the table this time around, I'm done. It's not sour grapes or defeatism. I simply am just not willing to devote the time and energy it takes to win this game. One could argue the next test will be fair and reasonable and so you have to give it a shot. That may be true but, either way, I'll have to prepare for it as if it were going to be a repeat of this debacle. It isn't worth it for me.
I'm not trying to knock the wind out of anyone's sails. Most of you guys who wind up falling short on this disaster should dust yourselves off and get right back in that ring if that's your goal. It's just not going to be me. It's a personal choice. I have a wife and children. They'd rather I be present then Lt; I have a good gig; I have a lot of time in rank; I'll get the money eventually; I'll be close to the finish line come the next test; I have no ambition for Capt and above . . . I can go on and on. This test was my shot. Moving forward, the personal costs of promotion begin to greatly exceed the material benefits. An 8 hour, one-on-one, pep talk from Yano couldn't convince me otherwise.

I hear you bro. I have a good gig and am young on the job, and even still I was considering vesting out and joining another agency if I failed this test. If I was reasonably close to retirement I would have done the same as you.
Hope you make it, but if not no shame in your choice to not do it again, I know I wouldn't have. This job and city hates us, this test proves that, spend some time with your family. Good luck.

I just read this entire thread which basically boiled down to the last 10 threads- What people scored, who knows someone who knows someone who knows something, and a morale level that equals a morgue (Myself included).
I'm at a 63. I think I will be on the outside looking in by a few pts.

I went the other day, they said they couldn't give me a white vest carrier because I'm not a lieutenant yet. My lieutenant said just wear the blue one, it doesn't show.
