Did the newly graduated recruits go to all impact pcts or they went anywhere like it was several years ago?

they went to "zones" 79, 71, psa 3, psa 5, 120, 101,103,42,47,transit manhatten, transit queens are the only zones. Some are broken down further by 79 north zone and 79 south zone etc. THATS IT. These places who got these guys will be getting RID of all former impact guys as to not "corrupt" the new minds. These zones will have more trained officers and sergeants at a ratio of about 1 sgt to 3 or 4 cops.

That's crazy not like when we were in impact. And if they are making it a 1 to 4 sargeant sped cop they better Crank out this list. Now that they settled the contract for the biggest union we are def up soon so expect a lot of retirements!!!

PBA and City already met once with the PERB MEDIATOR... They are due to have a 2nd meeting soon and historically they only meet 3 times with the mediator before they enter binding arbitration... This info is available via the PBA Facebook page And the PBA BEAT newsletter that they mail to us

i know alot of guys are pissed at this taking so long. But this is worth the fight boys and girls. The UFT contract is CRAP. If anyone here wants to argue this point lets do it. Screw the city, we should be getting ATLEAST twos and threes just like every other department. 0's and 1's is so unacceptable

Sgt2be. Nothing to argue. You are correct. And every union after the PBA settles will benefit. Solely based on promotion legally has to give you a raise.

Not to divert the topic of the thread. But I agree with what you wrote. However putting my faith in PERB is naive. The climate around this country that unions are the reason municipalities are broke is working. Whether you're republican or democrat, both parties have run with this idea using the resentment of the public to fuel their agenda. Twisting words like "Christmas Bonus" instead of defined benefit or variable supplement are all ways to convince the public we are sitting on easy street. When most of us are trying to survive paycheck to paycheck with the insane cost of living in this cesspit. So why I agree going to PERB was our only hope. Im not holding my breath. Whatever the outcome of the contract I predict a mass exodus by eligible cops. Reason being either cops will be satisfied with contract and call it quits. Or they'll be disgusted and say "the hell with it, I'm out." Either way I think it's encouraging regarding the movement of the lists. STAY SAFE.
