Those filling dates are made up. There's no way the comptroller's office would benefit from those numbers. The point is to have filing dates at the end of the fiscal years to pad the numbers and demostrate an increase in revenue, Economics 101. That's why filling dates are always before the end of July when the fiscal year ends.
By the way New York City's fiscal year begins on July 1st and ends on June 30th.

Huh? Revenue from promotional exams??? Lol some funny ****.
This city calls profit/revenue only when they make millions. Tens millions, hundreds millions, billions.
Money they make out of tests is nothing but pocket change

When will this "fiscal year" nonsense finally end? Only the recruit classes are affected by those dates, and even that is only some years.

Just saw that for the capt exam the key lowered its price to $500 and now include a digital patrol guide(actual patrol guide not re-written), admin guide, video reviews of class and the ability to print the packets from home. Yanosik must have took a ton of business away from them too. I hope they offer a similar deal for the LT exam. I liked the Key's packets better than Yanosik's last time but found it a pain in the ass to get them thru the mail. Yanosik's patrol guide was what put him over the top for me along with all the other stuff he offered.

Sounds like competition!!!! I would have tried the key but in the past if you missed a class u were screwed. This should help the key immensely. Great news
