I didn't hear anything yet but people who attended phase 5 were saying that they were told 75 going in next month. I actually know who icons is and I don't think he would lie. At least I hope not. I'll make a call later to see what they are saying and ill get back to you guys. I do know that 20 years ago the class was 2600 cops and a lot of them who are bosses had there best year thanks to Sandy. So they would lose money to stay on the job. So it's very plausible that big classes are coming up and that's what I am hearing anyway.

Btw phase 5 is when you go back to the acadamey as a sgt and discuss your experiences as a supervisor and they get feedback on what they could do to make it better...

Just a guess, but maybe because of what happened in Boston they do not want to put a class in and would rather have as many available bodies as possible out on the street.

I got beat to the punch. Made that call just lieutenants and captains going in. Also guy who went to phase 5 today that I worked with told me no mention of a sgt class... Icons I'm going to kick your ass ...

I'm sure the next class that does go in will be a nice size class.. Everyone keep calm your time will come. 50 lt means 50 sgts that need to be replaced

Guys, just to be fair to those who were claiming that they heard good info from "sources", don't be so hard on these people. I was just in Phase 1 on Monday with a list number is in the low 9's. I was there when Lt Ng said that he was expecting "at least 50 Sgt's" maybe more for May. I think this one is a surprise to everyone.
