I don't remember what the score cards looked like, how detailed are the ones they send us? My score and points should be more then the list stated, it seems like they missed some of my fitness points.

Just called DCAS, I actually spoke to someone who said they had several calls about fitness points, but didn't have and answer for me. He transferred me to the Certification Dept and of course the phone just rang and no one picked up. When I called the automated line back and put in my SSN and list number it says info is as of 6/10/12 and the list for that exam has NOT been established. I believe they update that line every Sunday, so I'll try again next week.

I went to DCAS today and the DCAS lady told me that I should wait for the scorecard first. She said that the list released to nypd is not the final version and that adjustments are still being made. Once you get your card, you'll then have your final score and list #. Now, if you still missing something then u can follow info on the back of the scorecard and request to add points by mail or in person. She also said that scorecards are being mailed out as we speak. Hope that helps.

So our list numbers might change?? When I was at the education and tracking unit they had a list sitting on the desk. I only saw the first page, but it had four names highlighted. But it makes sense, guess that is why the two week wait for promotions. I am not on the cusp but if I lose a point and someone else picks one up, that might knock me out of the first class. Insane.

Looks that way. I'm waiting by my mailbox today. I took the sgt test in 2006, I wonder if the score card has changed since then. Back then, it did not break out fitness, medals, etc.

I'm going to barely squeak in the first class, but i'm clearly missing points. If they readjust the list it can only stand to help me. Problem is , calling DCAS is basically like calling the DMV. You deal with incompetent boobs every turn. They seem to **** up these lists on a regular basis now. How difficult is it to simply add points to a list? I don't get it.

I just got my scorecard, my list number is the same. The score is only broken down into "Mulitple Choice Test" (raw score) and "Performance And Seniority" (points).
"Performance and Seniority Appeals: If you believe that your seniority was rated incorrectly, you may submit a written appeal to DCAS, Personnel Audits and Trasactions, 1 Centre Street-21st Floor, New York, NY 10007. You must submit your appeal within 30 days of the date of this notice. Your appeal must give specific reasons why your score should be higher. You may not dispute the rating guide that is used to rerate your score. Your appeal may result in a higher or lower rating."

The score they gave me is short of what my total should be. Leave it to DCAS to not even be able to complete simple addition.

Does the "performance and seniority" section cover the fit points, or should that be a seperate entry?

Is anyone short a portion of their FIT points or does everyone either have them all or not have them at all? I should have received 2.5, but I only got 2. It wouldn't move me up, but I guess I'm paranoid about someone from behind me jumping me and pushing me down on the list. Not a huge deal, but I'd hate to get bumped out of a BMOC because of a half point.

My performance and senority alone don't add up to the amount of fitness points that I should be receiving. Does anyone have fitness points included as a seperate entry or should they be under the performance and senority?

I understand that these are your mighty fitness points but I'm looking at the list and I don't think your half a point or tenth of a point is going to make a big difference on the list. You may not even change list numbers. You'll be still be in the same bmoc group you were going to be in anyway. It's just my observation but congratulations on your fitness points. Go for it.

If you did it, let's say 4 or 5 times, and you're in the middle of the pack, those 2-2.5 cumulative points can be very significant.

As of the current list numbers my .5 of a point will move me Up 28 names. That is one class. Plus I earned it. I got up and trekked out to the city one day and Brooklyn the other on my own time I might as well get the 1/2 point I earned. That IS all......

When I did the fit test for my Sgt's test, at least you had to do it in a semi respectable time....under 12:10 I think. At some point a few years ago they bumped it up to 14:30. A one legged fat guy could finish in that time. Like most things on this job...there are no friggin standards.

I spk with someone at DCAS, they stated you can go down to DCAS- 21st floor to fill out the form to appeal. They said you must bring the pink Fitness Assessment score sheets or copies of them. They said they will then contact the Fitness Unit to confirm and then they will add the additional points which obviously could change your score and list#. They also said you can mail a letter and attach the Fitness Assessment score sheets to it and that is good enough, which is what I did. She had no timeframe on the turnaround time but she did state you will receive a new score card with your adjusted score and list# when they complete the process. I'm figuring a turn around time of a few weeks to a month. Not sure if this will effect the June 29th class.
