I don't recall the choices. However, it was SPILL of a tanker truck unknown possible hazmat substance. I picked establishing the frozen zone 300 feet. I studied the number on this like crazy figuring they would go there.
"hazardous material source or spillage"
There wasnt a spill in the question. This im certain.

Does anyone remember the lost child one? I dont know why but it seemed tricky? I remember you were the desk officer and it said to choose the incorrect statement. A was notify SVU because the 12 year old was being forced to perform CSA by his step dad B was complete captions on aided card C was Notify MPS and give description of child D assign a female umos to watch the child
Now that I look at it i guess D because it should have stated, assign a female umos to watch the child, if available. Scumbags.
Svu was incorrect. It's Queens, notify Queens Child abuse squad.

Yes, as per the p.g.
How many people got screwed up because it never indicated the Child lived in Queens or was sodomized in Queens? He was just found there.

You have zero shot in protesting the "routine" sick at home for a choking victim at a nursing home." They went over this at the key. You gotta go. There really is no fighting it. Some of the other questions have legit arguements but remember you can't fight a question becuase it was sneaky and the question writers are morons. As far as the grammar questions, they were mostly tough but none had no answer. They did the same trick on sergeant's test with capitalizing letters. They capitalized Department at the end of a sentence making it wrong. Half of the test takers dropped it. Keep in mind the question asked according to propper grammar, not our police world where they capitalize every police phrace like "Command Discipline"

Again there was a choice that said to enter the IAB COMMAND LOG number in the details section of the 61. Is that worth a protest ? It certainly is not correct

U might be confusing it with the question about the family dispute where d answer was to commend d cop for calling 911 but no notifications needed.

No the one with the off duty witness cop calling 911 did have a choice, just commend the cop and no further action/notifications needed. It was arguable whether or not that is an off duty incident, I say no, so that is why I picked that one...

In the first paragraph, "unusual police occurence", never defines what that is. Is an Assault 2nd family offense of the next door neighbors an "unusual police incident"? I would say no. But once again, another gray area, these exam writers are bafoons...

I already touched on that off duty topic. I am protesting it. That is not a legit off duty question. I dare any of you call the duty captain and get the ball rolling over that nonsense.
PatrolGuideismyBible said

Also they had a real off duty where the cop threw something at his wife, but they wanted you to answer it using a different procedure that conflicts with 212-32 off duty incidents. In the other procedure the PS can handle less serious off duty incidents, CO/DC more serious ones, and DO always does the 49. In 212-32 Off Duty incidents, no one does a 49, CO conducts every investigation, the DO just calls the CO/DC and IAB.
Two questions with obvious conflicting procedures in the book, yet they decided to go there. Are they intentionally this unfair or am I giving them too much credit and they just don't know there are conflicts in the book and its best to avoid testing on points that have more than one answer in the book...

On a "fair" exam you can expect them to have one or two questions from procedures that conflict other procedures. On this debauchery of a test they chose to pick every possible conflict in the book and test on it. Unfortunately if the question locked you into a specific PG procedure then you don't have much of a chance with a protest unless you can show that there was more than one right answer or the question had no right answer (i.e. pins question)

Like I know what the correct answer is? I think I bombed it like everyone else, but I picked "commend the cop for a good job and no further notifications are needed" Why? Assault 2nd with a stick husband and wife, parent's neighbors not even your own neighbors, not personally involved, not unusual, how does it qualify as an "unusual police occurence" You are a witness to a very common crime and took proper action in calling 911.
Am I right? I don't know, the question like many others was poorly written and went for the gray area...

Exactly. They absolutely, purposely found controversial contradicting procedures and wrote questions on the. They need to be inundated with protests

You are probably right, but if an obvious conflict exists, whether they refernce the specific procedure or not, it is a completely unfair question. If an incident fits two procedures, especially if one is newer than the other and often says "any other procedure that conflicts with this one is invalid" at the end of many of the newer procedures, how can they "lock you in"?
The exam writers should all lose their gigs on this one, complete incompetence, pettiness, and picked many obscure points to test on...
