Question... everytime I ever saw a Sgt's list it was in numerical order, not alpahbetical like this one. Do they release another one thats numerical later on?

They are always in alphabetic order.

The list that you're talking about Fodx is probably the one that The Chief Newspaper releases that one is in numerical order. Dcas always does alphabetical.

I have an off topic question...
Suppose they announce a Lt. Exam for January 2011...and i get promoted in nov/December 2010...Can i sign up for the exam as a P.O six months prior to the exam date, considering i'll have "One day in rank" on exam day? or do i have to be a sgt already when they announce it six months prior to exam day.?

Quagmire- - you'd be good to take that test, one day in rank is all you need

Anyone could take any promotional test, sgt, lt, cpt anytime! So you could sign up for it and take classes and as long as you get promoted at least one day it'll count!

does anyone know if there were throw outs or double answers?

I could be wrong but from the looks of it, there might have been at least one throw out.

Unless I messed up my answer sheet, I went up one point from the proposed answer key.

I went up one point too

My score also went up, but by just over 3 points. I compared my score with a buddy who has the same time as me and he only went up by about 1.5 pts. That said i think there may have been a double answer not a throw out.

i dont know if you remember but the question about the dog in the park and who to notify at 2200 hrs or some nonsense... i had 4 questions wrong and according to my final score i went up a point i think they tossed that question.. anyone know for sure?....

i dont remember the question, but did u take ur time and medals into account? unless u had 3yrs on when u took the test and no epd/mpd's i would think the extra point is accredited to seniority etc....

so its safe to say there was at least one throw out/double answer...if anyone had the answer correct on the proposed key they wont see the extra point(s)...

you also have to factor in that certain people did the JST and the obstacle course for the extra 1/2 point. medals may have effected peoples score as well. i got an 88 on the dcas answer key and didnt get any extra points, except my medals and the fitness test

None of those extra points count unless you get a 70+. BTW I think # 88 was a double answer!

yes your correct. i was eluding to the difference between the DCAS key and the list. i know a few people that jumped up 3 points. does anyone know for sure if there was any throwouts or double answers. cause my score was pretty much the same...guess i got the wrong ones right lol

Again, I went up 1 point from the proposed answer key. Any additional points added to my score for seniority, medals etc were accounted for properly.

I took the lts and capts exam for practice as a PO; I've also taken a few sergeant exams as a captain, just to get background material for Rising Star's questions.

And if I do pass said lt. exam, am i eligible for promotion considering i signed up as a po and took the exam as a sgt.?
