upto list #314 there is around 50-55 that hit 5 in july 09. what do you mean only 21 were previously skipped?
Phil Atio said
May 7, 2009
22 were skipped so far due to other reasons, and 21 others were skipped due to not having enough time on the job.
53 other rookies passed the test but fall somewhere in between #315 and the end of the list, totaling 74 eligibles in july '09. The other 22 can be promoted at anytime if they ever get the college, come out of the military, unjam themselves or whatever other reason they were skipped.

If they make BMOC on June 1st, since BMOC is 4 weeks wouldnt the promotion date be June 26, meaning all those who hit their 5th on July 1st would have to wait till the next BMOC?

What are the odds of everyone on the list getting promoted by years end. That is supposing they are good to go with time credits not being jammed up and stuff.

^ Slim to none. But by April 2010 or so i would say that this entire list will be promoted.
QuestionAsker said
May 8, 2009
The big question will be when in June. June 1-7 no 5 year guys, June 8th or later then the class will have the 20something passed over 5 year guys set to be promoted July 1st
Phil Atio said
May 8, 2009
thats not how it works. if you are eligible to be promoted on promotion day and you were skipped for any reason, you will be promoted and do bmoc next time around, but instead of going to a command, you will get assigned to like apd or something.

I highly doubt that would be good enough single reason to be passed over, not even Chronic B. You haven't done anything "wrong" except just being sick.
In last sgt promotion there was a female officer who was in due any week now. I don't know her but I can bet that she went admin or regular sick more than 4 times past 12 months due to pregnancy related symptoms which would put her on Chronic A for sure.
However, Command Discipline and/or Charges would be a totally different story, right?

To gotham How much would u bet that this female went sick so many times? u r totally wrong this pregnant female has not gone sick in over a year and this female is almost 8 mo prego and has not gone sick at all for prego related reasons. Chronic can hold u up for promotion. U should get correct info instead of passing BS rumors.

Oh boy - here we go again. As I stated before, I didn't know this female who was promoted from last BMOC class, so I'm not sure if she ever went sick. And if she didn't, good for her. I just know that most of FMOS from my command are Chronic A due their pregnancy. Its just an observation, that's all.
Then I do have to admit my stupidity, I guess I skipped that part when studying PG. You actually made me to look into Reporting Sick procedure and at Additional Data it states, "It is the policy of the Department.... will not be considered for promotion.... unless they are on full duty status". So based on this sentence, you're absolutely correct, and I was wrong. I'm sorry if I offended anybody and hurt their feelings.
But when you continue reading same paragraph, it states Chief Surgeon and Chief of Personnel, and PC, as a final say on this issue. So what does this mean in reality. You're not going to get promoted if you're not full duty status but, as usual, there is a group of men who can override this rule in any way they want.
Sounds this is not a black and white issue, yet it's just different shades of gray.
Now, I don't know what ADMINISTRATION GUIDE says about this issue so there might be more orders and procedures that I'm not aware. After all, its the big shot at the HQ or in Medical Division who has final say, so I don't really know why we need to study this crap anyway.
I agree I shouldn't open my mouth re: subject I'm not 100% sure, but I'm just giving my two cents and years of observations to play. I'm not trying to BS anybody, and I should get correct info before any posting, just like we all do.
Thanks for pointing this out and while being shamed, I learned something new.

If someone is pregnant ; that person will be promoted that is the exception to the rule.

May Classes canceled due to "Economic Crisis" and June we will find out for sure the LAST WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH. Any info that you get before that is HERESAY. I got this directly from the Uniformed Promotions Desk at Employee Management Division. I don't know if this is redundant info but this is fact. Good luck everyone.

When you say "last wednesday of the month" that sounds like the finest message to report to bmoc (it comes out on a wednesday for the following monday) is that correct?
If thats true all of the 7/1/04 guys are screwed.
