Promotions will not be on the 26th makes no sense at all. Last day for promotions for 2017 will have to be on the 22nd where rumor is a large amount will get promoted to detective prior to the new contract.. The Dept is not promoting anyone after the Christmas. At that point it'll be for 2018. So if the promotion date is gonna be on the 22nd then the list has to be out at least to weeks prior I would assume if not no list.

These numbers you guys come up with are ridiculous. 2600 ?

do research ?
have you seen the 2011 sergeant exam ?
approx 20 people got the EXACT SAME SCORE
(EXAMPLE BELOW)
70.100= 15 people
70.200 = 20 people
70.500 = 25 people
70.800 = 30 People
70.970 = 18 people
5 Full points is NOT 60 Extra People
say 1,800 people Divided by the Possible passing Scores (30) meaning 100-30 = 70
so 1,800 people can have 30 Possible scores = 60 people have Indentical Scores assuming 60 people scored a 100, 60 people scored a 99, 60 people scores a 98, 60 people scores a 97 etc.
now lets do the math 1,800 Divided by 20 ! (Because the bulk of the test is scores 70-90 .. 1,800 Divided by 20 Possible scores = 90 ! So 90 cops scored IDENTICAL Scores !
Now obviously you can score a 70 and a 70.130 , 70.400, 70.700, ETC
SO YES. APPROXIMATELY 20 people HAVE THE EXACT SCORE !
you clearly have NO knowledge of just how many people get the exact score and how much 5 points can throw people on the score board.
With that said, I AM NOT saying 5 points = 2,600
But what I am Saying is that 9 POINTS below 70 CAN get the List Size fairly Large.
and Unless you actually passed 1 Promotional Exam AND analyzed Your own list and others you technically have ZERO experience with exams.
The List I have NO clue what Size it Could be.. but I bet ANYONE HERE it will be ABOVE 1,700 AND the passing Score has been LOWERED. The PASSING SCORE IS BELOW 70 !
its a DAMN FACT ! Confirmed with those Confirming Veteran Credits with a 61 score.

Just to clarify the what curve means so no one is confused
Math curve means for example everyone with say a 64 and up passes
Throwouts and double answers means someone within a 69 could still fail if they got all those questions correct in the first place, while someone with a 64 picks up those answers and ends up passing

You say all of that and lay out a very sound argument which makes me mostly believe you. I am however skeptical about your claim of people getting called to verify vet points with a 61. I have heard alot but nothing that extreme. Also not buying the curve either. Has it happened before. Yes. But is it happening now. I don't think so. I'll believe there are a bunch of throwouts buta lowering of the passing grade... That's a stretch. I will say that I've spoken to people who have claimed to see the list and that it was huge. And before you guys knock me remember. After the test the number of passing was in the 700s as posted by misfud and the owner of this site. The 1200 number came from the foil. Then it was 1400. So if it does end up being 2600 then would you guys really be shocked? As big as that is it's still a far lower passing percentage than the LT and Capts exam.

Should you pass the Sgt exam and end up on the list and get promoted, this point will become abundantly clear when you read some of the 61s that come across your desk.

That's odd. I spoke to a friend from the Academy today and they said that they were prepping for a class coming in at the end of the month. I think the person above you was just trolling. But with the city, you can never tell. Things constantly change at the drop of a dime. It's crazy. When I took this test, I thought that it was so neatly put together that there would be no throwouts. But with people verifying Veteran points with 65s and allegedly 64s and below, I guess I was wrong. That being said one of my friends from the puzzle palace said that there was a curve. I asked him if he got that from the rising star, he said no and that he knows someone from DCAS. I'm still going to be veeeeeeeerrrryy skeptical about that. Maybe he got it from the same source as JDMEV09. But only time will tell I guess.

70.200 = 20 people
70.500 = 25 people
70.800 = 30 People
70.970 = 18 people
5 Full points is NOT 60 Extra People
say 1,800 people Divided by the Possible passing Scores (30) meaning 100-30 = 70
so 1,800 people can have 30 Possible scores = 60 people have Indentical Scores assuming 60 people scored a 100, 60 people scored a 99, 60 people scores a 98, 60 people scores a 97 etc.
now lets do the math 1,800 Divided by 20 !

Math curve means for example everyone with say a 64 and up passes
Throwouts and double answers means someone within a 69 could still fail if they got all those questions correct in the first place, while someone with a 64 picks up those answers and ends up passing
Makes more sense than the retard saying only a few names would be added if 5 are thrown out!!! By the way you do know people who scored a 61 that verifies veteran credits?? So they threw out that many??
Notice of exam said 70. They do any other stuff I will sue I got prepaid lawyers for dcas
I feel like some chief son got a 67 and wants him to pass other wise tell me why it takes 10 months.

Yea sad your a loser your right. You have no information and are claiming what you said is correct. You got no info lil man. Your a smurf get your weight up lil man.
I never claimed to have info lil one. You where remember you get coffee and dry cleaning for your bosses bYtch!! You claimed that there where such number of throw outs. Not I
Like I said, when the info comes out youll feel stupid. I dont have to name sources or tell people who my source is. Your on here hanging onto random shyt that makes no sense but are quick to call someone a retard on a forum. Says alot about you. Your probably one of these guys who got picked on before you got on the job and now your a tough guy. If you disagree with someone, amen. Dont go calling anyone a retard on a forum if your clueless. Whether I say who my sources are or not, every individual will believe who and what they want.
When the list comes out, be a man and come post on the forums and well see who the retard is.

Go back and realize who started the name calling my friend. Not I. Your the winner stating its sad that people are gullible and stupid not believing what u said.
That's actually proper English (the "Not I" portion, at least). A lot of what I read on here is one or two steps above gibberish, but hey - we're not paid to be articulate or well-written.
Not I.
Honestly, I feel like we've all been so jaded over the past couple of months that none of us know what to believe anymore.
Exactly.. and if there were any new/further development, Brat would definitely post updated info.
This is the same city that is promoting hundreds of detectives before their track date so they can get the better detective contract.
