R we still at +3 and 32 on terminal?? If so the #'s just arent there for a class this month captain class or not.....id say therefore a small october class which may be the last one of the year there just is not enough movement...............

Well...from the last breakdown while back....we had 11 retiring in september....if we have capt promo....should be a decent size class...

The capt classes are usually like how many 10 or so? So 11 going out puts us at -8 and even if they put in 12-15 captains which is a lot thats only a class of 20-23.....thats why i think they wait till october for a lt class to get a few more in there

I was told by EMD yesterday that there is no class for this month. I just passed my interview with the 3 Chiefs for promotion, then I saw a close friend that works 1PP security and he knows all the latest rumors....How??? don't ask me how but he has been right many times. he said lots of changes will be happening since by the year's end all Task Forces are being merged into 2 units, they will fall under SOD. Head Quarter Security losing 12 hour tours and developing 3 tours like everyone else. Lots of disgruntled cops and bosses will be putting in their papers. 1PP inside cops except for real time, and I forgot what other unit will have to pitch in and do 1PP security. It was too much info to swallow after I had just received one of the best phone calls of my life. Time will tell.

These are some of the changes he mentioned. Someone just posted them in the (Just Everything Forum) as I had just finished typing the one above. Obviously not everyone will be happy, not everyone will stay where they liked, so hopefully it changes things. In this lovely Job of ours things change from on day to the next. Lets see how many will leave and how fast our list gets moving again.

For what it is worth early word says 23 Lieutenants on Friday December 5th and 12 Captains on Monday January 5th. Anyone hear the same?

would think it would be a bigger class than 23-by then the vacancies will be in the mid-20's but coupled with a captain class should be in mid 30's?? I dont know anyone else think anything like that??

Just got a call from someone saying a class is going in November 3rd. He has no reason to lie and he's pretty connected so being how surprised we all were by the last class I couldn't help but be optimistic. Has anyone heard anything like this?

I think there is a promotion November 3rd, however it appears to be for PO's getting Detective Shields. Don't think any supervisors are getting promoted.
