Happy new year to everyone. I wanted to share some information I have confirmed today. From what Im told there are no promotion dates set as you usually see posted here. Theres a reason for this and that goes into the next piece. I can confirm a rumor floated around here. Due to financial restrictions all promotions must indeed go through city hall and the reason why promotions seem rushed is Bc they are rushed in order to prevent change from city hall. So not exactly earth shattering info but wanted to share in order for some to understand what is going on

Just wanted to throw something out there. I stopped posting a while back because it was a lot of negative info about this list. Anyone telling you that they knew this and that about the list if full of crap. Narco you did not know COVID was going to happen when the list was established. No one knew about the Defund the Police movement and no one knew city hall would have to give the greenlight on SGT promotions. They usually only do that for Executives. NO ONE truly knows what will happen to the list. The job still has the budget for promotions, the difference now is they need to get final approval for the number of promotions they do. Promotions are still happening. They may spread out a little more than normal but the idea is to promote big when that happens as in the November promotion. Last promotion city hall gave a HARD 50. No lead way. In the past the number could be 50 but 2 or 3 could slip in at the last minute due to medical division or a last minute clearance. That's how you would get a 52 number or 53 number that everyone normally thinks is weird. I said this in the beginning ( go back to my post and verify) Every one who I have personally spoken to believes that This entire list will be made! You are halfway through this list and you all have had the effect of the COVID delay. Use your brains and stop listening to nonsense that you know deep down doesn't make sense.
