If you look at some of the added points you can figure out who came out from the same class. It looks like number 48 55 56 and 62 came out of the same class and should be eligible the same date

Had to have taken the make-up test. Let's see how many names get added in the coming weeks/months. #1 and #2 on the last Lt's exam were added months later. I used to see #1 at the Capt Key classes...she usually slept through the entire lecture. Such a joke. This whole testing procedure is a sham. I should've converted and became a 7-day Adventist. Would've saved me a lot of study time and guaranteed me a great list #.

# 1 & #2 on the Lt. exam were disgusting cheaters who probably feel no shame for what they did. There are 2 people waiting for their names to be called right now who should've been Lieutenants in the last class, because of these dicks.
If they pop up on this one late...

Yes, Its somewhere between 21 and 23 left on the 2012 list. Things are going according to schedule-a June class then most likely a September class which would finish the list. The guys like SGT 1701 should be going in right around the New Year.

I still feel that the test was quite unfair and can go on long rants about it. Would be happy to actually sit down with people that could make changes to the process and give me 2¢ having taking standardized tests my entire life - but that will never happen. Hopefully this Captain's test won't ask very important, job related questions such as how many hours a form that goes to the NYS Department of Labor has to be hanging in the workplace for.

I submitted some re engineering ideas as well...doesn't hurt. I think we all agree these tests do absolutely nothing to determine who will be an effective leader and who won't. At this point they only measure your ability to memorize useless minutiae and your guessing ability on exam day. I know in the 80s there was an interview and scenario component to promotional exams, i.e..."Lieutenant you've just arrived at the scene of a bomb explosion at the Empire State Building...how are you going to coordinate your personnel and handle the job?". This system was nixed because your grade was subjective in nature. The grading panel may think your answer as to how u would handle that job is an A+ and my answer is a C. This led to lawsuits claiming racial bias and led to the current system of exams (memorization based exams to eliminate any bias or perception of bias).
So to me...the real question is...how do we all collectively change the current testing system...so that it effectively measures leadership/supervisory abilities...while also keeping us in the clear of frivolous and usually baseless lawsuits.

Unfortunetly, I don't think any multiple choice test can effectively measure leadership. The military, in addition to testing, does a board interview. Here - we can't do it. But we can do is create a multiple choice test that does include some judgement component, such as off duty incidents, police involved shootings, discipline, etc. You can base the questions right there in the Patrol Guide so no one can say it is subjective. We have to get away from asking the size of the lettering on a bicycle or who gets a 49 for a temp. assignment (look it up when you need to write one) and ask more about what do you do first at a bomb job, or you're a duty captain responding to an off duty incident. It will be hard to make a 100 question test on this - so obviously there needs to be some memorization questions in there. Lets make those memorization questions pertinant, however. Something you should know without having to look it up. Even though I think it is silly, it is important for a Captain to know the proper uniform rules - he or she is the one turning out the detail. I don't think asking when a short sleeve shirt can be worn is an unfair question. What I do think is over 50% of the questions asked on the LT and CAPT test I took were unfair questions. I walked out of those two exams shaking my head thinking I failed. I did not do that on my SGT's test - and the reason I feel that was is because it was well written and pertinent (2009 test). Just my thoughts.
