for those of us hoping for a jan. class i figured i would get it started!!

since late september bmoc guys were saying that there is a posibility of 4 back to back bmocs. well thankfully it happened. no one knows abt future bmocs, even thou the rumors went as far as April (big sgt class elegible for retire), and i do believe next class is March or April. so i suggest you change ur post from January to April lol. hope im wrong

Instructors haven't mentioned a January class, but said they would know more as the weeks progress. I'll keep u guys posted

Friend now in BMOC told me that they will know in two weeks. As soon as I hear something, I will post it.

The BMOC instructors have been pretty on point recently when it comes to upcoming classes. What's the good word in there now?

They are saying that Dec Bmoc is the last of tge fisal year and starting next fiscal year gonna go right through the list.

so until july no classes ?

Today in BMOC one of the instructors said that she heard there will be another class in the near future, but she does not know when.  Nothing is official, and that was all she knew.

i was talking to a sba trustee this morning and he said he heard they were promoting up until January. take it for what it's worth.

we should see this week about the january class. after all it is 2 weeks left till the end of this year. one thing for sure it was one crazy year for me. i hope 2011 will bring more stability. until i hear something i would like to take this opportunity and wish everyone here Merry Christmas and the Happy Holidays. Yes our ceremony is on the 23rd, however we don't report to our new commands till January 3rd.

If indeed there is a Jan class (which I hope there is). The finest will come down on Wed Dec.29 around 5:30pm and the class will be Jan.3. The finest has come down on the Wed of the 4th week of BMOC for the last 4 classes, so lets hope there is a few more.

these guys are getting promoted in 2 days and not one decent rumor... this is not looking good.....

I wouldn't call this a decent rumor but its at least something. Its not confirmed, nor reliable, or verified but I was at a detail with a sgt newly promoted from the last class, another cop mentioned to him I was on the list and he told me he knows a captain who runs bmoc and he said they will be promoting straight through feb. Now I want to assert that I do not know this captain and it was the first time I met this sgt. He seemed like a decent guy and has no reason to bull**** me. Its not much but its all I got.

Was told today, by BMOC instructor, that there is no January class. Sorry for the bad news.

I hate to say this but I spoke with the CO of BMOC, and he did mentioned that they don't know anything till the last minute. However, sergeant from OMAP did confirmed that there is a big shortage of sergeant and finest should be coming For December 29, I don't have any reason to spread any rumors unless I know facts, but that what he said.

Well, we will all know come next wed. In hopes of staying optimistic I wouldn't be surprised if the job was even more tight lipped about a jan class cause they wouldnt want guys goin sick this last week knowing they'll be in bmoc monday.

Punisher, that is not true, one if the notifications came down on Thurday morning. I heard it was because they were having an issue of how many to put in. I believe it was the October class. They wanted to finish the '08 list but they left 10 (instructors later claimed they couldn't handle such a large group), who then went into Nov class with the 1st group off '09 test.

not the worse bmoc class ever just no news!! all they told us is no january class and no more dream sheets and thats it. We can make things up for you guys if your bored! All the info they have given us  has been posted..

The reason there is no news is because they haven't told us anything. Today one of the instructors said NO JANUARY class. They would have got notified if there was because we finish BMOC tomorrow. The new January class would have gone in this Monday.

The instructor did say there is a real good chance of a February class. If not February, the next guess would be April but there is no certainty. No more dream-sheets, OMAP officially handles all the assignments.

We have heard several times from multiple guest speakers that there will be a Lt. test this year, probably October, possibly November.

Can someone post the commands if you can get your hands on a list after they read them out? Just curious as to what commands are getting Sgts. Also, particularly interested if the 42 is getting any and how many. Thanks.

Just found out that they will not know where they are going until Fri... they all put in for 28's so, they have to call in after 1200 to find out what cmd they were assigned to!!!

That is correct, we have to call personnel tomorrow, to find out.  Also still no word on next class, sorry.

interesting tactic wonder which is more likely..... 1) so you cant change your command through a call because its the holiday weekend. 2) so you can change your command with a call without anyone knowing.

Well we called today and they told us they still don't know, so we have to go to the academy monday, this is getting absurd.

Well there is a January 2011 class....Only problem is its still the December class bc we still don't have commands and must report back to the academy for week #5...This job is ridiculous...

just think of it as a paid vacation because you wont be getting steady weekends off, and there's a 2 in 3 chance you wont get the tour you want either to start with.

FOR THE CURRRENT BMOC CLASS Did anyone even think if we will go directly to the new commands from the academy tomorrow? I'm bringing all my equipt and uniforms just in case.
