Let them go out to pasture and let others have a turn. It's sad when I see people afraid to become a mister or miss. Don't ever let a job consume you to that point because in this organization, everyone is just a seat warmer and easily replaced & forgotten. Do the best you can for your family and go live long enough to enjoy life as a "normal" person
Sounds like more vacancies are coming very shortly...I like It's time to give others a chance. Looks like that pasture to s getting filled up quicker than they expected! Hopefully some more see the writing on the wall and realize that it's not that 1/2 bad brig a mister/miss. That's the greatest rank one otj can hold. My $0.02
With the 27 executive transfers yesterday (roughly 10 captains moved into DI spots), that frees up 10 captain vacancies. Maybe this list will be out sooner than later.
I doubt it.. The movement in our department has no effect on how fast dcas will produce a list.. They still have the LTs list to generate.. They've been waiting over 6months already.. Unfortunately we will just have to wait out turn.. However.. All the open spots can determine how fast the job gets they this list once its generated.
DCAS works at its own pace, there's no telling when they will release any list. They should bring compstat to DCAS, bc right now that place has no accountability.

Yea...that would've been a shocker after yesterday's heroics. Guess there was a stay of execution granted...any other rumors or confirmation on movement?

I worked for her. She was a good boss. Reasonably fair, difficult to fool but overall treated us well.
Does anyone have any statistics on how many captains the job promotes on an annual basis ? I scored mid 80's on this exam and I am trying to get an idea of how much time I have to obtain my degree. I would like not to get skipped for not meeting the education requirement. At the same time I am cramming like crazy and need to slow down.
