How to get an accommodation for those who can't take the 8/23 exam

A few of you with wedding/vacation plans have inquired about getting an accommodation; here is the information (see below).

The new test day will likely be after 8/23, not the original test date of 8/16.

Email:  testingaccommodations@dcas.nyc.gov

They want the following put into the email as well as the reason:

Name:

Address:

SS#:

Exam Name:

Exam #:

telephone#:

email address:

Tell them that you relied on the 8/16 date and made plans because of it and it will cost you significant hardship. For those who planned a vacation your hardship is "financial"; i.e. you can't get a refund

The only possibility would be clear error on the part of DCAS... but they fixed that error 3 months in advance... the same thing happened with 2013 sgts exam as well

DCAS will consider requests outside the usual guidelines for this exam since they jumped the gun in posting a test date. I know of a few people who are in the process of getting an accommodation and their requests are under review--I'll post an update if it's approved or denied (one of them is for a costly family vacation).

I can already see the people booking these trips now and claim hardship just to scam. Such a joke.

Yep, i know a person who had to rebook a vacation and it cost him more money. Thats the way the cookie crumbles. A NOTICE OF EXAMINATION is a legal document and i dont think the city wants to end up in court for every LTS exam. So send out another NOE with a make up test reason being a vacation sceduled prior to the first amended NOE or deny these requests due to the impending **** storm
