A friend in BMOC (promotion to Sgt) stated he heard that the Dept plans on promoting a lot of people to the rank of Sgt starting on the 15th of May He told me that 90 are going in every two weeks.

A friend did tell me they are pushing, from higher up ,for a class of lts as well. They are trying to figure out spacing since they will have capts and the sgts overlapping. So theres no date as of now. Which makes me think if its any rank to be pushed back it will be us. again. Also that people are not happy about how everything went down with the cancellation of the class. Maybe that will help and they'll squeeze us in.
The department is going to promote the rest of the lt list before the captain exam. All po/det on current sgt list getting transferred to patrol while they wait for promotion, only a month or 2, spread out over 14 cmds or so. Not sure how it's going to work for sgts on lt list. Bottom line...start studying!
