I've noticed the same thing. Many questions citing incorrect answers as correct. Egregious spelling and grammatical errors. Questions with out-dated information (216 with the Aided Report going to the Command Clerk.) At this point I'm concerned that using the questions would set me back because I shouldn't be cross referencing every question good or bad. User beware.

I can assure you that our questions are not rip offs of other classes and are written by myself and my partner. Additionally, if you ever see a question that is not up to date then please email us and let us know. I will gladly take a look and fix anything that needs to be fixed immediately.

Found one many errors including: improperly cited PG procedures, too many grammatical errors, and questions that dont have the proper name/title that correlate to the new interim orders (for example some questions in 216 had the correct answer as being aided worksheet instead of aided report.) Their website claims everything is updated up to IO cutoff date- 10-31-16.

Also alot of their questions are rip-offs from the key packets and probably from other schools (for example one of their 219 questions is from the 219 key packet, page 43, question #29. They even used the same location- Hamptons lol).

I would advise you not use bluelineleaders or if you do, be sure to cross-reference every question (even the ones you got right) with the actual patrol guide.

Never heard of them. Always be wary of these fly by nights that are run by anonymous people. These people can't even attach their name/list # to their "product". lol

I'm not taking any sides nor have I used their questions in the past but I would not be quick to say that certain questions were taken from a particular school because a lot of the schools use the exact questions from previous exams. So certain questions may look similar.

I agree, and like I said I can assure everyone that we do not rip off of any schools. We write our own questions, from our own experiences taking the past exams. We look to hit certain areas they have tested, mimic their wording, style and structure.

Nice catch and good post bignutz. If the rising star has their work copyrighted, they prob have a pretty good case for plagiarized / intellectual property theft. All blue line did was change order of answers and hope nobody would notice lmao. Shameful.

If I were the other schools that were ripped off, I'd be all over them with a lawsuit and copyright infringement. How low can you pieces of garbage go? Stop being dishonorable and disgraceful, your bad reputation will follow you from here on out. UNREAL......SMH no

Thats it for now. I need to study lol..

Be advised, what you see is only from the Rising Star questions PG 203 and 204. I didnt even post stuff from the other RS questions or The Key.

From what I've heard from key students their rip-off is more blatant. At least with RS they changed the names a bit, for the key they lifted it word for word. lol. Can anyone confirm? Anyway, I haven't seen their stuff so I'll hold my judgement til then, but the only thing I find suspicious are stuff like this... "rolled folded his vest"...

it looks like they copied the question and then went back to change some of the wording around to make it not obvious but forgot to remove the old wording that's why it's "rolled folded"

Yea ok. Look at the two pics below (an additional to the ones I posted above), you forgot to remove the number 28 which corresponds to the same question you copied from in Rising Star. You should take down your website now..

You better post them quick. I bet these guys are working hard scrubbing their questions. Lol. Wow! That's just the first few procedures and just one school. It looks like they ripped off all 3 schools.
That is nearly word for word the same! The "28" however on their questions 9 is...just...wow.

The numbered questions are no longer there.

Has anyone done a whois query to see who the website is registered to?

I thought cops were supposed to have integrity, it just pisses me off. Makes it worse that they're doing it to another fellow cop...smh. God only knows how many hours RS put into formulating thousands of original questions.

Thank you for uncovering this. This is clearly our questions! They didn't even bother editing them properly. The questions that they stole are not "re-writes" so they can't even use that as a defense. The same exact numbering with OUR question "28" and their question 9 that starts out with "28" is without a doubt evidence that they lifted our material.

Blueline leaders, cease and desist from taking any more orders immediately! Do not resume operations until you have purged your question bank of all our questions--and I don't mean just "re-editing" them. This is your warning.

I would say whoever these thieving scum are, they are in BIG trouble:

Copyright Infringement Penalties

Copyright infringement is the act of violating any of a copyright owners exclusive rights granted by the federal Copyright Act.  There are three elements that must be in place in order for the infringement to occur.

  1. The copyright holder must have a valid copyright.
  2. The person who is allegedly infringing must have access to the copyrighted work.
  3. The duplication of the copyrighted work must be outside the exceptions.

The legal penalties for copyright infringement are:

  1. Infringer pays the actual dollar amount of damages and profits.
  2. The law provides a range from $200 to $150,000 for each work infringed.
  3. Infringer pays for all attorneys fees and court costs.
  4. The Court can issue an injunction to stop the infringing acts.
  5. The Court can impound the illegal works.
  6. The infringer can go to jail.

Blueline leaders has agreed to the following starting Feb. 22. 2017:

1. A 100% refund to all Blueline Lieutenant exam students

2. They will purge their data bank of all questions copied from Rising Star and rewrite new ones

3. They anticipate that this will take a few months and once done they will resume operations.

Tony and I welcome healthy competition; the more schools out there the better the overall product becomes. However, we would hope that anyone looking to enter this market be a little more conscientious and put the proper time and effort into creating material for their students. With this said, Tony and I have been assured that the "question writer" responsible for this will no longer be part of Blueline leaders. Tony and I have accepted these terms and we would just like to thank all of you for your support--especially Bignutz88.

Bignutz88, you will never have to pay for another Rising Star course again! (this means you have to out yourself to me and Tony. lol)

Ed, I've known you and Tony for some time now....you are both gentlemen and very helpful, with the best material out there. However, you guys are way too kind, IMO. What BluleLine Leaders did was sooooo blatant and dishonorable. I personally would've crushed them. You guys are gents! Glad to see you won't continue to be ripped off by your own "brothers". SMH no

The resolution is beyond generous and a respectable move. Ed and Tony, you guys are stand up and are the better for this. It's a shame for all of us cops who used this program for the last several months who have been duped into using the same material twice. I have to admit I'm pretty pissed.
