what happened to the classes of 75+?

When this list first started the first class was in may, I think it consisteed of 89 people.  Why is it for the last 12 months or so the classes have only been about 55 max?

It's cop to sgts ratio. Less cops means less sgts. Retirements and promotions also play a factor. Lately the job has replaced only those on terminal and the number promoted to lieutenant. Just hope for a big police academy class in January.

I guess all commissioner's talk about bringing cop to sgt ratio down was empty words. This year class average is no doubt less than first 2 years of promotions.

The promotions will still be the same. Consistency is better than random big classes.
