Yes, please let us know if they mention the size of the next class.  I'm about 40 names away so I anticipate a month full of anticipation of whether or not I'll make the next class.

Yeah, I'm concerned on how they will break up those remaining 120 or so people. 80 for November, 40 for December, or 60/60, or 40/80, aghhhh

I think it will be 3 classes. remember, there are about 35 passovers with at least 20-25 getting cleared at the very end. Its more like 140. My guess would be 35 for november, 60 for December and who ever is left in January.

I was just reading the finest and it says that these guys going in are assigned to BMOC from 10/1 Sat. (First Day being Monday) to Saturday 11/6? Does this imply a 11/5 Graduation Date? If graduation is 10/28 what do they do for a week? Sorry if this is a stupid question as I have a feeling the answer is simple...

Ah, but they still put in the next class on Monday while the previous class is still assigned to BMOC but in field training for a week in their new command. Gotcha

BMOC is 5 weeks total. 4 weeks Academy, 1 week field training. Promotion is ideally the Last Friday before your field training week, but it changes for a number of reasons as you see with this classes Wed promotion. You are technically assigned to BMOC for the whole 5 weeks including that last training week. Congrats and good luck to all who made this cut.

So how do you guys think this will pan out. If 40 extra test takers are added to the exam day, that is $4040 in revenue. Minimum wage is $7.25... That is 558 man hours for the proctors. 558 Man hours will pay 70 proctors....

If 2600 people are taking the exam... seating 15 people per classroom, that will make 174 classrooms needed to accommodate everyone....@ 2 proctors per class they will need 348 proctors...

LOL the revenue will provide for 70 proctors out of the 348 needed.

I DONT THINK THEY WILL PROMOTE UPFRONT.

What??? U just said 2 proctors per classroom and 15 per class. That would mean u only need 6 extra proctors for 40

I think i went in way over my head on that one. My point was that the extra revenue isnt a good reason to promote upfront. The Department doing the right thing sure as hell isn't.

Well 4 of the slots were taken from people promoted yesterday. And there are others notified after the finest came down. So maybe 80 will be in class on monday.

Look on the bright side, they promoted 400+ names in 6 months! If they kept going with that every other month nonsense we would have had to wait till summer 2012... I cant complain.

Thank you guys! Did they mention how far in advance they will let these 30-40 people know?  They need to get their uniforms inspected, right?

And what about the remaining 80 or so, I'm assuming December?

If your in a ceremony to be promoted yes, you need uniform inspection.. To me its blown out of the water.. As long as it fits, has your service bars, 5yrs,10yrs etc, n no chevrons its all good. Just add your sgt hat and a gold name plate. Ours gets chkd on the 25th... So imgonna presume, if they have the next class in the same day for ceremOny, id say i guess maybe, notified a week in advance..again our ceremony has a tenative date as of the 28th...make sure its clean n fits everything else is as pg procedure, shiney shoes etc..Only add hat n name Plate

I'm assuming if they do the 30-40 upfront that that will be the size of that class, and they won't put in another 40-50 on Monday, right? Like give those 30-40 the chance to take the test and then fill out the rest of that BMOC class after the test. Probably not, right? Probably just that small group and another 80 in December. :(

High600s, stick with the 30-40 cause u're in for sure? you bastard lol... they should put in another 80, that's what they need to do. With 30-40 i might be single digits away from taking the test and I won't know if I'm elegible till the very end :(

Ms. President Brat, please show yourself again and raise that 30-40 to 80 upfront promotion...that would be the best gift ever!!!
