That's def a lot to promote in one class. So I would say they will cut it in half and have two classes. Sucks thought they would have started promoting from the 09 list by now. Meanwhile, LTs and Capts keep going in. Grrr

its been sooo long since we took this test, how long are we going to have to wait? id guess they are not going to put another class in till december, they just took 74 or whatever number it was, and there is no way there will be back to back classes, best case is december, worst probibly jan/feb. and theres no way its gonna be one class to finish the list. all just my opinion. after 6 months im glad its just moving at this point.

i think they will need to finish this list and get everyone promoted and into commands before the current academy class hits the streets in january. we lost 85-90 sgts to promotions over the past few months and i'm sure many MANY more to retirements. Yet the department only put in 74 for this class........i figure the dept needs another 150 sergeants by the time the academy class gets out.
I was told by several of my bosses that they usually put in a large class just before the holidays, so the rookie Sgts. can work the holiday details. My personal opinion is that they will put in another class this year in time for the New Years eve detail and any of the passovers that are eligible could be lumped into the first 2009 BMOC class. For the record, that was just my opinion and I haven't heard anything about that.
The class room size would be tight to put in 100 promotees. i was in a group of 44 in april 2009 and it just fit us comfortably with room to spare. 50+ more people will be too much.

Next class should finish list from 08. If they put 80 people in November, list will be exhausted and class of 80 has been in BMOC in end of 2008 and early 2009. Pass over can join 09 list class upon clearance.
74 new sgts in the last 3 days!!! I appreciate the desire to get the promotions going on a regular basis and in good numbers. I don't see how, knowing what the last six months have been like, anyone can think that a large class will be going in again in two months, inside information not withstanding.
The fact is that there have been 74 cops brought in for bmoc in the last 6.5 months.

According to my two ex co-workers who are currently in BMOC, they were informed that there will be a Nov. class. Not sure of the numbers, but I can see them finishing off the 2008 list. Hopefully info is good and nothing changes.
I am very hesitant to post this because it sounds so unlikely, a friend in BMOC now called me and said BMOC instructor told him Oct. 11 to finish 08 list. Plus another class in November. 3 classes back to back. It doesn't make any sense to me because the top of the 09 list as far as I have heard hasn't done the 1st stage of Bmoc the 2 day training that they started doing for 08 list. Thats all I got, unverified, highly unlikely, but I figured I'd post it, if not for any other reason than the board has been stale and the only other active topic has been racism.
im in bmoc now they said november 11 class and that will finish the list. there will not be a conflict with space you spend half your time in bmoc out of the academy getting training elsewhere
